Obsidian Pearl - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By mcspoo - November 7 - 10:40 pmSleek. Fast. Comfortable. I got a great price on this. CX-7 was not a vehicle I was looking for, but stumbled upon. It drives so smooth I end up over 80mph before I know it. At least, smoother than the Jeep Liberty I traded in for this. You cannot believe how much power the engine has until your drive it. Interior functionality is much better than the Liberty. Wish it had a better stereo (4 speakers, distorts when loud). Still waiting to see the real gas mileage. Massive dashboard and front window takes some getting used to.

My Experience With my MazdaCX7 so for... - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By Siva - July 19 - 11:23 amBought this CX7 2008 model around Jan 09. Got huge discount... I got 6k less than msrp. great deal. Considered crv rav4 outlander forester and then closed in on mazda cx7 for its style and performance. So far I have put 15k miles ..drives great so for. Drove my car from batonrouge la to los angeles ca close to 1800 miles and didnt feel a bit tired... drove (9-10 hrs) for three days and took two breaks at junction tx and wilcox az. the whole trip averaged close to 24 which I am happy. texas stretch I drove at 80mph and averaged 21.4. I am tech guy / contractor so I go to diff places and my mazda cx7 gives me good company. la to san jose @ 60 mph gv me 28mpg. great car overall.

What Lines - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By Tucker - July 1 - 11:26 pmStunning exterior lines accent this perfect sized SUV. Solid footing allows you throw this platform into a switch-back with a peace of mind. The lows, much too noisy cabin, turbo lag, and eats tires every 20K.

It will be one year.... - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By Marlo - June 13 - 11:33 pmin a few weeks since I bought the 08 CX7. It has 18k miles, and I havent had any problems with the vehicle. I brought the Sport but it came with some options (nav, Bose system, moon roof, Sirius, remote start). The CX7 is the perfect size for me. Overall, I enjoy the CX7.

Loved it... and now hate it - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By Mark - May 8 - 9:03 amI started off loving the CX-7 and after having it for over a year I now hate it sadly. The engine makes excellent power, could easily make more, but is held back by the automatic trans. When in auto mode its ok but manual mode is an absolute joke. It takes so long to shift that without perfect timing it would never give optimal acceleration. A manual version, which they do have overseas, would really wake it up. Weve had some issues, biggest being the a/c failing. Ive seen others have the same a/c issues and dealerships seem to not be covering them under warranty. It eats tires. I could go on much more but dont have enough room to type all thats wrong. Wont buy a new Mazda again.

Love It - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By Jim - April 21 - 12:06 pmI couldnt be happier with this vehicle. Got a GT FWD loaded. The performance is awesome!! It is such a fun car to drive! A suggestion for some folks. Skip the technology package and put in an aftermarket radio like the Pioneer AVIC-Z2 or D3. Everything else with the car is wonderful!!!

Zoom Zooming 1st Timer! - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By BC94121 - November 23 - 7:40 amBeen a proud CX-7 owner for about a month now and we absolutely love, love, love it! Its a great looking CUV/SUV that definitely handles more like a sporty car, especially when that turbo kicks in and youre hitting those curvy roads! The fun factor and looks factor sure does beat the pants off of a RAV4, CRV, or Murano. The Bose system is awesome. Its like having Bono & Edge jamming in the car with us as were driving. My only gripes would be the locks not automatically locking when the car is in gear - kind of a no brainer to include. Also wished it came with a optional manual 6 speed. Bottom line: A-W-E-S-O-M-E vehicle!

very disappointed - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By Angela - November 7 - 2:20 pmI have had the suv for a year and half I have had to take it in 3 times bought it brand new I am very disappointed. I think when you buy a brand new vehicle it should work. I will NEVER buy a Mazda again and if you are thinking about purchasing this vehicle Please Think Twice cause it has been a nightmare for our family.I wish they would take it back.

2008 Mazda CX-7 Grand Touring FWD - 2008 Mazda CX-7
By Eric - October 27 - 8:20 amThe CX-7 does great at handling many driving conditions. It has great passing power on the highway. Avg. MPG on highway was 24. Using premium fuel and using cruise control really helps. I am not impressed with the navigation system. It is not as user friendly as the plug and go Garmins. Its point of interest database is very limited. Instrument cluster is easy to read and has a dimming switch. Bose sound system is great. Outdoor temp. display can be read when you toggle between the A/C temp and outdoor temp. I would have liked it if the outdoor temp was always visible in display above the steering wheel. Reliability is still unknown so I would suggest a short term lease.
