Great value - 2006 Hyundai Sonata
By Jason - January 16 - 10:03 pmThis seems to be a very solid well built car, so far. The acceleration (3.3 v6, 5 spd auto), while not amazing, is good. The manual mode on the auto is a nice feature. Braking is good, no front end dive, and a very good ABS system. You cant lock these brakes up. The handling is good for a car of this size, even at speed. The ride (with the 17" wheels/Michelin tires)is smooth, even over rough surfaces. There are no squeaks or rattles; fit and finish is just as good as any competitor. Value/dollar ratio is amazing...no other make can touch it. You get tons of features for a very attractive price

hyundai value second to none - 2006 Hyundai Sonata
By dblg - November 22 - 2:53 amExcellent build quality combined with luxury options brings this vehicle to a level second to none. Why pay more for Camry & Accord when you get the same degree of quality and I have owned both. Love the power on the V- 6.By the way this is my second Hyundai.I own a Elantra 5-door GT dubbed it the red rocket and that car is a winner too! Go Hyundai.

Goes from A to B - 2006 Hyundai Sonata
By Todd - November 20 - 2:20 pmIm disappointed in the gas mileage of the V6 -- I get about 23 MPG despite driving probably 60/40 highway/city. But its a smooth ride with zippy power. The interior is conservative but refreshingly intuitive control- wise. While the car floats along fine and has all the basic bells and whistles (love the sunroof, wish it had an iPod port), it could use greater fuel efficiency or benefit from a hybrid engine someday. In all, a good getting around car, nothing more.

I LOVE this car! - 2006 Hyundai Sonata
By MW - November 19 - 9:36 amI bought this car used in December and have fallen in love with it! Why dont American car companies build cars like this? The gas mileage could be a little better. I am averaging 18 in the city and around 26-27 on the highway its much better than my Buick. The 3.3 v6 is very powerful more than youll ever need. Its also very comfortable and roomy. It drives like a dream at any speed. The only problem I have had is the power seat recliner broke. I certainly would buy another Hyundai car.

Its a Dud - 2006 Hyundai Sonata
By Bob - November 5 - 3:36 pmEngine replaced at 34,000 miles, transmission replaced at 51,000 miles. Hyundai corporate unconcerned about keeping me as a customer. At least they were replaced under warranty. Totally unreliable and no fun to own anymore while I wait for the next failure.

Fantastic Car!! Best in its class!! - 2006 Hyundai Sonata
By Mike S. - October 8 - 11:50 pmThis is the best car I have ever purchased. For around $21,500 plus taxes and fees, you cannot beat it. Steel Gray exterior is gorgeous! With the sport package alloys the car turns heads. I get compliments all the time. The gas mileage is good for a V6, and the interior is of high quality (Tip: the cloth interior is nicer than the leather). Hyundai is definitely making a run at Honda and Toyota with this car.

A truly desirable car - 2006 Hyundai Sonata
By Dror - September 25 - 3:10 pmWith the very low price and a full array of features and extras it simply makes this car to be one of the most desirable cars on todays market. Safe drive - 5 Stars award for the front crash on both passenger and driver sides, also one of the few who earned the 5 Stars ratings for side impact tests. Powerful acceleration with smooth touring on low fuel consumption while maintaining high speed cruising. Amazing road handling for a low priced car. Im able to take sharp ramps on 55 mph while other cornering behind and crawling on the 25 mph mark; ESC computer controls superb the wheels and the car speed when careless driving is involved
