  Just traded in my 05 Sonota (which was a great car) for the 06. I LOVE THIS CAR!! Feels like Im driving something much more expensive. Handling is a much better than my 05, but it of course makes for a little rougher of a ride. Thats OK though because I like the sportier feel! Can definitely feel the difference in the 235 ponies, compared with my 05! I really think once it catches on that this car will surpass Honda and Toyota. At least I hope so! Hyundai, keep your price points and you win!!

  Better in everywhere. Not just by more options for the money but Quality! Better interior exterior design! Smooth ride with sports car performance! 0-60 under 6.7 seconds!

  I previously owned a 2002 Elantra. From day 1 I was impressed with Hyundai. In 3 years not one problem. My previous American vehicles sure cant make that statement. Decided to move up to the Sonata for a larger car and a few more options. This is THE car. The ride is so smooth and quiet. Rides better than Buicks I test drove. Friends have commented on how tight this car is. Very comfortable seating. May be a 4 cyl but has lots of zip and good freeway power. And the look says CLASS! Hyundai warranty and backup on previous model and the new have sold me. I travel alone and the roadside benefit means a lot. The price alone would sell the car but once you drive it you are totally sold

  I bought my sonata in nov.05,am very happy with my car and hope that this will help others in desiding on what to buy.overall the auto is a good buy and performer.smooth ride that of a more expensive auto,comfort for me is good,sound system is great large trunk,plenty of window vewer.

  I have had my Sonata for a little over a year now. I have traveled all over the U.S. with it as it is now showing 56,000 miles. I absolutely love this car. Its powerful, the warranty is great, and I feel like I have nothing to worry about when I drive down the rode. I have owned both Accords and Camrys. This car is just as much of a car at those others which will run you about $5,000 more for the same options. I will definitely buy another Hyundai. I am hooked and stand behind it.

  Wanting to recapture my sportier car days, I was hesitant to look at "family sedans", but when I actually dove the `06 Sonata, I was amazed at how much this car had to offer. Ive had it for only a week and I just want to be out driving. COmpared to its competition, I think that it more than matches up, especially when you figure in cost and never mind the warranty. Most of all I can put the three kids in the back instead of taking the "family truckster" mini-van everywhere. If youre looking for a car that is fun, roomy and you also need to pay the rest of lifes bills, this is the car for you. Hyundai has really stepped up with this car, from now on they are the one to watch.

  Personally, I would not have considered purchasing a Hyundai until the current generation Sonata was released in 2006. The rave reviews it received persuaded me to give the car a chance. My, how my opinion has changed... What a wonderful vehicle! It has the silky smoothness of drivetrain of a Camry, yet is much more involving and sporty to drive. For a young family starting out, this is a perfect vehicle. Interior space is fantastic, as is the touch and feel of materials. The 4 cylinder engine provided adequate performance - the V6 was magnificent and ended up being my choice. Throw in the 10 year/ 100,000 mile warranty and its a no-brainer - nothing else can compete in this segment!

  The 4 cylinder, 2.4 Sonata is a good performer, powerful enough to get me from home to work, driving on city streets or on the highway. The car is stable and quiet driving 80 mph, the brakes are superb, and in general, the many SAFETY features, like the extra air bags and curtains, ABS, Traction Control, and especially ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC) make it an EXCELLENT buy. The gas mileage is very good on the highway (well over 30 mpg). Its a SEXY car. I first saw the new Sonata from behind, and fell in love with the design.... Id say the Sonata gives you the SAME CAR as the Accord (we own one) and Camry -- and yet it has MORE SAFETY FEATURES than both -- for $3,000-$4,000 less.

  A decent ride thats comfortable but rather hum-drum. You dont get many second looks from other folks on the road regardless of age or gender (relatively first looks for that matter). Its more of a Buick from the Korean peninsula and less of an import with a tight, road-hugging feel. The handling is very subpar compared to the Subarus I have driven for the last 15 years. But for overall comfort with an ample number of conveniences its still a great buy.
