I had purchased this car exactly a year ago and completed 28000Kms so far and have no problems yet.I used to own a merc before and am totally satisfied with this one and will always recommend to friends.I love to drive and always find reasons to drive.Other than the steering being a bit slippery, everything else cannot get better. The performance on highways, the silent ride and the space inside is great.

  • Great Car - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

Very happy with my new Sonata, looked at Accord chose Sonata for its price, warranty and great salespeople. Saved about $5,000 even with purchasing 10 yr bumper to bumper warranty. Car rides and drives smooth, good gas mileage. No complaints.

  • All the Car Ill Ever Need or Want - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

Weve had our Sonata GLS V6 for about six months, and I have yet to find anything I dont like about it. The worst thing I can say is that the knobs and buttons are slightly different from those in my Hyundai Sante Fe, so that it can be momentarily confusing. The ride is postive, with great road feel, but also comfortable. The car handles beautifully at any speed. The car is fast enough, and its performance is best when it is need the most, at passing speeds. The automatic transmission shifts so smoothly it is almost spooky. I confess to not having driven the competition, but it is hard for me to imagine that, for the money, any of the Japanese sedans is better.

  • Competitive Build, Great Value - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

After test driving all the obvious competitors, I purchased my Sonata. The value and warranty are impossible to beat. Ive had to deal with a few minor quirks that the dealership cant/wont fix (strange dash panel fit around the radio, rattles coming from the windshield and the rear headliner). The exterior design is nice (looks like the offspring of a late-model Accord and an Audi A4) and the interior is decent. The manual mode on my auto transmission is a bit odd - it always feels like it lags behind my input when shifting. Overall, a great car with an exceptional warranty.

  • Why cant Ford build a car like this? - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

This car does everything I want it to without a hiccup. Costs $5000 less than equivalent Camry or Accord even after aftermarket leather seating. Hyundais still get no respect on the resale market. Thats ok. With 100,000 mile warranty Ill be keeping this a long time.

This car has preformed way better than I expected except for gas milage. Drove from Maine to FL with no trouble at all. This was right after purchase.

Well being laid off from a job is never a good thing. I have been working at Bellsouth for nearly 20 years and just got laid off so having to downgrade my house to an apartment and 2006 Honda Accord EXv6 to a Hyundai Sonata LXv6 was a lost too. Having features such as a map and Navigation System or even the smoothly performing V-TEC and 5 speed manual i was not happy. The Hyundai is a "generic" car. It seem as if it is of good quality, but maybe comparable to my last car a 1999 mazda 626 ESV6 (sorry i tend to buy only V-6 models for perfomance reasons only)and like it is about 3 to 5 years behind the competition. Hyundai is still a player in the catch up game and is learning also.

  • Nice, but a few things to improve - 2006 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

Ive had the car for a month now. It is a really nice car for the price. Good off-the line acceleration, good looks, good feature set. Feels like a luxury car in terms of overall exterior appearance, quietness of ride, smoothness of engine, and standard interior appointments. Lots of my colleagues have said, "Its really a Hyundai?" They cant believe it.

  • Poor rear suspension design - 2006 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

My overall experience with my vehicle has been fine except it has developed a loud rear suspension noise and the factory reps are stating they do no have a solution for the problem.
