  • Not worth it even for the cheap price - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

Multiple trips to the dealership for problems including leaks, washer motor, etc... and one recall. Very poor gas mileage. Much worse than the accord i owned. Resale value very poor - over 50% of all sonatas go to fleets. I guess real buyers know better than to buy this.

  • total quality of Hyundai Sonata - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

Compared to Honda Accord, this car is an excellent buy hands down. In every aspect it is the equal of the Accord. Fuel economy, power, appointments inside and outside are equal. For the money I spent, I would rather have the Hyundai anytime than spend an additional 3,000 to 5,000 more and get nothing the extra money affords.

steering audio controls are bit confusing and bold. when holding break anything on the seats is thrown down. it had skidded once when turninng but i found that tier presser was 42psi. good looking body but very easy damaged.

  • Awsome Car - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

I purchased this car to replace my dying 2000 Focus. I really wanted an economical, RELIABLE car (who wouldnt after owning a 2000 Focus). When I started looking, the Hyundai dealer was beside a Honda dealer. I was interested in the Civic, but the Sonata caught my eye. I almost didnt look at the sticker, because I was sure I couldnt afford such a nice looking car. I was wrong. This car is quiet, well built, roomy and the 4 cyl has plenty of power. The interior is laid out well, and the trunk is HUGE. This car has options (especially safety features)I would have to do without if I had purchased a Honda at the same price. Unbeatable Warranty, excellent value, and 33 MPG isnt bad either.

  • This car is the stuff of nightmares. - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

I bought this car about 2 years ago from a guy whose grandparents who passed away and didnt want the car. I bought it with 63k miles on it. Im now at 77k miles and EVERYTHING is breaking. Everything in this car rattles, so there are always noises. No matter how much money I put into this car to fix it, something else breaks. Ive had to get new struts, motor mounts, hoses, headlights, door handles, a new motor for the wiper fluid, control arms, bushings, the rotors are about to go. Im STILL having problems. Ive taken great care of this car, but I cant seem to stop the breakage. I would not recommend this car to anyone.

  • Why go anywhere else? - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

With six airbags, five speeds, shiftronic transmission, traction and stability control, 17-inch alloy wheels, 4-wheel discs, a six-disc CD changer, climate control, sunroof, and beautiful interior appointments, I certainly expected to pay more than $19K for this car. Fit and finish, particularly the absence of squeaks and rattles, is outstanding, although I did have a dimple in the roof which the dealership had fixed while giving me a loaner. Add break-away mirrors and auto light shut-off and this car is about perfect!

dream to drive, look for every excuse to go on highway, tour whole neighbourhood just to get milk at corner store, extremely quiet and smooth, passing power on highway simply beautiful

Not a 6i in corners but solid.Quiet, refined, stately Buick-like ride and build quality.Astonishingly competent, loud tunes in base pkg.-if you can lose the roof check out the sound system and save the 1.4 grand. Two quotes for 799.00 to bump up to a 10 year wrap on the B2B warranty- 12k mi. or 1 year to do it.Huge upgrade over the previous generation in the engine/looks dept.-this car is especially handsome in Ebony or Deepwater blue,Cinnamon too.Trans does very well and is smooth, mud guards easy install, oil filter on TOP of the new, powerful 3.3 plant. If had black leather I would be in heaven rather than on cloud9.At 21,495 after 2k in rebates coupled with base warr.equals no-brainer/win-win.

  • I love this car!!! - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

I cant explain it but I love this car. My friends were skeptical and kept saying, "A Hyundai?". But yes, this car kicks major butt in performance and styling when compared to the Accord and Camry. I look forward to driving this car. I am changing jobs and will be driving 62 miles round trip per day and I am excited! My LX is bright silver with leather, tinted windows, sunroof with wind guard, spoiler, and sporty 17" low profile tires with 5 spoke alloys. This car turns heads, and for as long as it performs as it has through the first 4200 miles, I will be the best salesman Hyundai could ask for. I urge anyone looking to get a quality mid sized sedan to seriously look at the 2006 Sonata.

  • I cant believe I bought a Hyundai - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

I have never been interested in a Hyundai until I test drove a 2006 Sonata. I currently drive a 03 Passat 1.8t and was looking at VW, Mazda, & Saab until I drove a GLS 4 cyl. The only thing I didnt care for was the light (read hard to clean) cloth seats. Thats when I drove the LX (Leather & V6) and found it to be superior to the other cars we had tried at a much lower cost with a better warranty so I couldnt refuse. The car is whisper quiet, stays firmly planted on the road, has the quality feel of expensive brands and appears to be really well built. The under carriage air control appears to be well thought out and the detail to small items is stellar. So far its doing 22 & 28.8 MPG.
