  Ive not purchased a new car since 88, so I was very choosey about this one. Previous cars owned were all domestic and purchased "preowned" (read pre abused) - Im not too easy on a ride either; 25K to 28K miles per year and I drivem til they drop. (Usually to 200K miles or more). I wanted a nice car, an inexpensive car, a reliable car, and some options would only sweeten the deal. This car serves all that and much more. I can only echo others comments here. But Im sure when the payment book is empty and the odometer reads around 165,000 I will have finally finished my test-drive.

  i traded in my 2001 honda civic for the the gls v6 sedan (3.3l 6cyl 5a). i have only 700 miles on it so far but i do like it a lot. this car is the same as an accord or camray for much less money and i also like the new design of the car. the ride is beautiful handles real well and fun to drive. ill buy another one!

  I love this car. I have had it for one year and have had ZERO problems. Not even a squeak or rattle. I have the V6 with top of the line 17 inch wheels. It handles very well and everyone who rides in it is surprised that its a Hyundai. Especially the acceleration and stable ride.

  I am very satisfied with my new 2006 Sonata. My old car was Accord. Sonata is much superior than the Accord.

  Its official, Hyundai has taken the lead. For the same price as an Accord LX or a 07 Camry LE, the Hyundai GLS V6 kicks their butt. 70 more horses. Standard Foglights (important in mtns.) Standard dual exhaust. 16" alloy wheels w/ Michelins as opposed to 15 or 16" steel wheels with plastic hubcaps. Standard traction and stability control. Better ride and equal quality of construction and materials. Ford Fusion doesnt even come close in safety w/o std anti-lock brakes or side airbags. Plus the Fusions stereo is unchanged in sound quality from my old 83 Tempo, sad.

  Hyundai makes your purchase a part of the family kind of experience. My wife is the primary driver and she likes the sporty feel and the power. She moved from an SUV and is enjoying the difference in handling.

  Build quality is excellent, interior is well laid-out but materials are less classy than some competitors. Ride is excellent, though not particularly exciting. Roominess, fuel economy, and reliability/warranty make this car a fantastic value! But Ill confess that Im glad its my wifes car and not mine -- partly because the lack of excitement to drive, partly because at 62", I cant straighten out my legs behind the wheel. Still, amazing that we bought it for less than my 2000 Saturn LS1 when new - especially with all those standard safety features.

  This is my second Sonata. I had a 95 GLS V6 way back when and never had a problem with that one. I have had this one for a bit over a month (GLS V6) and love it. The car is smooth as silk. My only complaints would be the poor (19mpg) mileage around town and the fact that the o/s mirrors are not breakaway, a feature the 2005 Sonata did have. I got mine with the premium package. The vehicle is very quiet, but the 17" tires/wheel do have more noise than I prefer. The standard tires are not nearly as noisy, so if you dont like tire noise, get the standard tires. I would have done so myself, but it was included in the premium package and I really did want the sunroof and the upgrade mirror

  I have had hondas, fords and my last car was a nissan sentra, I wanted something more roomy and with more power and i found it. At first I was skeptical about getting a hyundai, but it was more car that fit my budget and it has proved me wrong. I would suggest this car to anyone, and this is just a base model and it has more features then a the honda 2006 base.
