  • Watch out for Hyundai Customer Service. - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

I had some with the passenger seat and it failed VA inspection. I took that car to Pohanka in Fredericksburg VA. They were nice but they ended up keeping the car for 2 weeks to get parts from Hyundai.OH Yeah, Hyundai does not provide a loaner. The car is nice, but the service and support for their products are awful. They did fix the seat but there were some cosmetic things they forgot to fix and I have to take it back again. When I bought this car, It was between this and the Saturn Aura. If I could do it over again, I would have purchased the Saturn but wanted to save some money. You get what you pay for. The car is nice, but if you want the company to back the product, go somewhere else.

I have owned 16+ previous cars, and I love this hyundai. It even handels better than a previous sport type car I had.I bought the gl manual because I drive about 100 miles a day and for the warranty price, style, and overall driveability,I didnt find another vehicle even close. It came with v performance rated tires and you can really throw the car into a corner.Dont get me wrong you arent going to be winning any speed contests with it but overall very fun to drive

  • Sonata beats them all! - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

This car is amazingly fast, agile, and comfortable. And, the car is so smooth and quiet that you forget how fast you are driving. I have driven the Accord and Camry before, but they are not even close to this Sonata. In fact, they look and behave cheap, compared to Sonata. Best yet, the better and higher class Sonata costs less than the Accord and Camry.

I had 2000 sonata . and test driver burgandy Sonata LX with fully loaded with sunroof. the cars engine is most improved part. it is so much quieter than previous model. and acceleration is just incredible. But insulated inside is noise with when the car over the bumps "thump"...the 17" wheel make sonata more athletic but noisier. 16" wheel should be more suited for family sedan.

  • Best Car in Class - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

This car is amazing and for the price is the best bargain available. The V4 is more than enough power. If your looking for a Mid-Sized Sedan give this one a look and you will see it drives just as good if not better than the Accord or Camry.

We were looking for something to buzz around town in for our family of 5. We are very happy with the car, no compliants. My wife also likes the car a lot. The car is very quiet. I have no regrets with our purchase.

  • Hyundai needs new badge. - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

When I first saw this car through commercial, I thought "well thats a good looking car from hyundai". I didnt really care, until I saw a silver one on the road. I was in the market for a relatively reliable, all-around characteristic, and bang-for-the-buck sedan, so I visited Hyundai dealership right away. I was blown away when I first saw it, and I was in love with it when I got inside of it. I bought it after I test drove it. Do I need to say more? H is no long solely standing for Honda anymore. There is something called Hyundai coming very fast. I was never fan of hyundai. I heard few people saying its a nice car. Now, I believe it.

  • nifty car - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

Got the new GLS V6 a few a days ago. We also own a 2003 model. The two cars are not really comparable as the whole concept got big improvements. mix of accord, camry and a bit of audi feeling (interior). Engine power is much greater, ride is very smooth, noise even further reduced and all important safety features are standard. price vs feature/quality is probably one of the best ratios out there. The seats could use some improvements and the mirrors should be collapsable. I drive about 30K miles a year and I think the car will prove a reliable and enjoyable workhorse. Too bad Hyundai doesnt offer a navigation system to top it of.

  • Sonata Shortcomings - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

Gas mileage is suspect. While local driving is OK, highway mileage is low. Ive gotten 25 MPG when driving on Interstates at the posted speed limits. When I asked about the mileage, I was told that the tests were done with 91 octane, which is not mentioned on the window sticker. It is in the owners manual, but one does not see that until he/she is the owner. Frankly, I was disappointed that I can only get the low end of the mileage range with the recommended octane gas--87 octane. I dont believe the warranty lives up to the hype. If it does, why do I need to pay $1593 for additional warranty coverage?

Smooth acceleration, quick for a Hyundai. Seats are actually comfortable, as opposed Ford or a Camry where your legs go numb. Look out Japan
