BRING BACK THE 05 - 2006 Hyundai Sonata
By bring back 05 - August 14 - 9:10 amPersonally I loved the 2005 sonata.I am a couriour and drive over 350000 miles a year. The 2005 gave me very few problems and was comfortable and easy to drive. The 2006 is still easy to drive however hyundai got rid of the more classy look that the sonata had. They gave it a sport look trying to copy honda instead of jaguar. The seats make your back hurt when u drive alot and the armrest in the middle will make your shoulder hurt. The armrest also has a spring in it that makes it a pain to closse when your driving. The transmission slips all the time and i think there may be a recall later on.I also think there may be a recall on the shift lever because it will slip out of park with littlpressr

Poor Gas Mileage - 2006 Hyundai Sonata
By Mike - December 16 - 11:56 pmThe highway/ city gas mileage has averaged 17 mpg over the course of 12 fill ups and a recent (3/2/07) highway fuel consumption test performed by the dealership revealed 16 mpg. Ive filed a complaint against Hyundai with the Better Business Bureau but Im looking to take this issue higher up. I drive the 06 GLS 3.7 liter V6.

Would not buy again. Looks good-eats gas - 2006 Hyundai Sonata
By Mario - April 24 - 12:10 pmHave driven the car 11,000 miles and gas mileage average is 19.9 MPG (for the 11K miles), sticker said 20 City, 30 Hwy. Rust spot by the sunroof, paint starting to peel around stone dings. Carpeting already worn by drivers left foot rest. It is reliable, the new 235 hp engine is fun to drive, except lagging acceleration in passing. Had to replace horn, it had gone dead. Dealer does not keep promises for service. Had to call Hyundai to schedule service by dealer, since service manager would not return calls. Other offerings offer greater value in this price range. Was looking at the AZERA, sharp looking car... but after this experience, will go somewhere else.
