  Test drive b4 you buy anything under 30K - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

  This car is a compromise between price and perfection. Unbelievably closer to perfection considering the price. In terms of the cost-savings per deveation from perfection, the Sonata shines. I adjusted the cost of the following cars for each "defect" that needed improvement(Test Drive Rating)/ (Value Rating)..VolvoS40 1/2, HyundaiSonata 2/1, HondaAccord 3/3, ToyotaCamary 4/2, MitsubishiGalant 5/4, Mazda6 5/5, FordFusion 5/5, & NissanAltima/(felt cheap). S40 had fewer deductions, cost much more. Camary cost slightly more & had a horrible door armrest, losing more points than Sonotas cruise/radio buttons on the steering wheel. Insurance savers on Sonata - etched glass & alarm - standard.

  Ive had the manual Sonata for six months now and have put 5000 miles on it both city and highway. It is a great deal for what it has to offer, especially in terms of security, warranty and features. Quiet ride on the highway, a lot of space. But! It has no fun factor at all (I guess I was hoping I would find the fun in it, but never did), and the suspension is rather soft. I am not sure about build quality since a number of rattles have been driving me nuts. Stereo system is so-so as well and gas mileage has been disappointing, although I am a very careful driver.

  I owned a 1999 Elantra previously and the 2006 Sonata far exceeded my expectations. I did not have any trouble from my Elantra and I wanted to stay with the 10 year warranty. I had looked at the 2005 Sonata and they too are nice but the 2006 is larger, roomier and to be quite honest, it compares easily to other midsize cars in looks. My insurance agent could not believe it was a Hyundai. I love my car!

  With many features like electronic handling, 5 speed auto, slap stick trans shifter, this car is really taking on Lexus and Audi.....not Camry and Accord. Honda and Toyota can only ask for endless dollars to match up, and match they do not.

  I have a long commute. Its comfortable and fun to drive. Im getting 28-30 miles on the hwy. Great exceleration.

  I did the research. My Sonata is everything and more that I expected. Very nicely engineered. The body is beautifule and it is quiet and solid. My only digs are the front seats could be a little better and my MPG (90% city) is only at 23. I highly recommend this car. I paid only $18,100 and I got the 4 wheel disc brakes, the auto and the fog lamps!

  I love my car. I actually go outside just to look at it. It looks the best at night, but also at all other times. So far everything has worked perfectly. No problems what so ever. I had a 2002 Camry before this car and now I am converted to Hyundai!!

  The 2006 Sonata is truly a fun car to drive. The exterior and interior are so refined. I have looked at every other competitor and when it came to buying, this was the car for me. The safty features are second to none for the money. The warranty 100000 miles is second to none. The power is awesome as well as the low noise level. The cloth seats are ok. They seem to sit a little low but the adjustments make up for it. The handling seems to be top notch for a sports sedan. 0-60 in just 7 seconds.. Very elegant lines on the exterior looks like a cross from Acura "TL" to a Mercedes C class. Please test drive and see for yourself you will not be disappointed.

  Great purchase my wife and I have been looking for a new car in the lower to mid 20s weve test drove the xB, xA Aliama, Corolla, 300, 500, Civic and Accord LX (which Ive owned 6 - Im a very big Honda fan) Anyways we drove them all and this one won hands down. More standard features more power and overall better value. I just wish this was the first test drive I did. I would have saved myself about 7 saturdays sitting around the dealerships.
