  After shopping all of the competition, I settled on the Sonata. It offered hands down the best value for the money. I have lived with it long enough to rate it. After 6 months and 8000 miles it is quiet and comfortable. It has all the power you need. The poor gas mileage claims are bogus. I consistently get around 24 MPG in town and 29 MPG on the highway.

  Ive always been hesitant to even look at Hyundais. When the new Sonata came out I liked the design and decided to take a closer look. OMG. This car blew me away. So I bought it and have not looked back. I am banking on the 100,000 warranty to run out way before this car does. Honda, Toyota, move over... Here comes my Sonata.

  We bought the bottom of the line with the four cyl. engine, yet the car is loaded. We have put 35,000 miles on the car and it has plenty of power, gets great mileage, responds instantly, has incredible attention to interior details, has the best suspension and ride of any car I have ever owned, and makes me laugh when I take the curves near home. When we first bought the car my wife took it on a three hour trip. She arrived in just over two hours. She admits that she looked down at the speedo and was doing "at least 95" but the ride was so smooth and quiet she just did not realize it (She still wont tell me her actual speed.)

  My test driving of this vehicle seriously convinced me to make the purchase. The fit and finish of this vehicle is far superior to any other its competitors. I was shocked by its low sticker price while I was expecting at least $30,000 for this new model. (I was happy though)

  It is the best car I ever tested for its price range. I realized its built quality is far superior to Honda or Toyota especially the materials used. I thought I was sitting on an Audi. Love its quiet ride!!!!

  If you cant afford the Audis, BMWs Volvos, Toyotas etc... This is the next best thing! A must test drive if you plan on purchasing a Sedan. Great features that are included with the vehicle. It would be hard for me to believe this car does not receive some consideration for either car or value of the year award.

  After one year and 21000 miles on it here are my thoughts: I bought it for $16,261.61 out the door. Do not think I could get any lower. Drives excellent. My wife loves the car. Roomy interior and beautiful exterior. So far, not a single problem with the car. Average fuel consumption is 27 mpg, (min 22 - city, max 35 - freeway @ 65 MPH). @ 75MPH it goes 29 mpg. It has huge glove department. Headlights are good. Nice CD/MP3 player with big display.

  Commuter Dream - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

  My wife drives this car 80% of the time to make her daily 36 mile round trip commute to work and home. It has made quite an impact on her when you consider our previous car was a shaker and rattler. The interior of this car is large with lots of rear leg room. Fit and finish is quite pleasant and unexpected in a car priced below equally equipped Honda Accords and Toyota Camrys. Those two models would easily have been two or three thousand additional dollars. Our only complaint to date has been squeeky brakes when reversing. (Paid our dealer to fix but came back just as bad!) Ride is quiet and comfortable. Superior warranty sold me right away. Doors sound great and solid when closed.
