  • Hyundai Paving the Way to #1 for Sedans! - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

I commute 60 miles round trip to my job and my 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6 4 door sedan makes this trip very pleasurable. The ability to go from 0- 60 in about 7 seconds is great for moving from one lane to another on the highway. It provides a very quite, smooth, ride. The body style is also very attractive. The standard ESC really works extremely well, providing additional safety when needed.

I knew nothing about Hyundais before this vehicle. I have enjoyed other foreign models. This car is a joy to drive. Small enough to be economical and large enough to have a solid feel and ride. This car is very responsive when power is needed with a 3.3 L V6. There is plenty of room in front and adequate room in back. Trunk space is impressive. Stability features really smooth out the ride. I would not mind taking the car on any trip. Great sound system and plenty of comfort. I am glad I found this car and will get another if they keep manufactoring this kind of quality.

  • A great car for the price - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

I have over 20000 miles and this car has been really fun and highly reliable. I get about 22 MPG around town and over 26 MPG on the road. I got the v-6 with leather and all the options including the spoiler, that really gives it a great look. Take a real good look at this car.

good vehicle, does everything ok, superior MPG, I get 33 avg. The trans is generally smooth but it has its hiccups. Plenty of interior room, very comfortable inside. Overall satisfied but would not buy this car new (resale value is horrible).

  • Surprising - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

I traded a 1999 Mercedes SLK roadster for this car when I started my new business and needed a more practical and more reliable car. The service and quality of the Hyundai - which I paid about $16,000 for - far exceeds the Mercedes. Dont get me wrong - the Mercedes was beautiful, but the brand itself has gone downhill. I have over 50,000 miles on the Hyundai and it has been virtually without problems - the problems that I did have were fixed by the dealership. I did not expect much for $16,000, and the real world resale value is good too. Also, the stereo is amazing - better than my Mercedes. I am sure one day I will get a fancier car, but this is the best work car you can get.

  • 25,000 Mile Update - 2006 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

With 25,000 miles on the odo and two years of smashing potholes on the streets of Mobile, Alabama we are still impressed and satisfied with our Sonata. Only two (2) minor maintenance issues--a defective seat belt sensor and a bad tilt switch on the drivers seat, both corrected by the dealership in about 20 minutes. In June of 2008 we traveled to the Midwest getting 30.3 mpg along the coast and 28.8 mpg in the hills of east Texas. In town mileage is about 19 mpg with the V-6 but you can improve on this about 2 mpg if you manually shift and keep RPMs in the 2,000+ range. Totally satisfied. Waiting for the Sonata Hybrid !!!

  • Look before you buy a Toyota or Honda! - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

I was looking for a reliable, fuel efficient car to replace my SUV. I drove cars from Honda, Toyota and Nissan. On a whim, I drove the Sonata. What a surprise! Its as smooth and quiet as a Lexus and sips gas like a Civic. Outstanding warranty, huge trunk, great looks, and thousands less than the competition. Only have 10,000 miles so I cant speak to reliability, but so far so good.

  • WOW - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

I just bought a 2006 Sonata LX with the moonroof and subwoofer add. I really wanted the new Honda Acoord but after pricing the new Sonata i just could not justify paying $3,000 more for a 4cyl Honda Accord Ex. The only improvement i can sugguest for Hyundai to do is to add a channel changing button to the steering wheel volume controls. If you have been kicking over the idea of buying a Sonata like i have just go ahead and get one... You will be pleased.

  • Great fuel, great warranty - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

I was looking for an inexpensive car that would take a beating. I own a farm on a dirt road but drive a distance on expressways to get there. My Sonata gets great mileage, especially around 60 MPH. The few minor problems I have had have been fixed for free and without a long wait. Exactly what I was looking for from a warranty.

  • BRAND SPANKING NEW (NEARLY) - 2006 Hyundai Sonata

Automatic headlights and lower fuel prices would make this vehicle the ultimate mover.
