This Year's Model Updates:

After debuting last year, the Volkswagen CC sees a handful of changes for 2010. Among them are the 2.0T's adoption of VW's six-speed automated-clutch DSG transmission (it replaces last year's conventional six-speed automatic), newly standard Bluetooth, a new touchscreen-operated audio system, new wood accents for the VR6 and new rear badging that shows "CC" and indicates the trim level.

Pros:
  • Peppy and fuel-efficient base turbo engine, powerful optional V6, balanced ride and handling, well-equipped, stylish inside and out, available all-wheel drive on VR6 model.
Cons:

  • Impressive ride - 2010 Volkswagen CC

Had a Jetta which I loved, traded to a CC 4Motion. Wow, quiet, fast, nimble, and sleek in and out! Best VW I have owned.

  • Great car to drive but super expensive to own and maintain - 2010 Volkswagen CC

We got our VW 2010 CC luxury with 36K on it and within 8K the car has cost us a fortune to maintain and repair. On top of the very high sticker price (with options our car was about 35K MSRP and thankfully we got it for 20K used) Since then the windshield, auto sensing wipers, two front power windows, sunroof sliding cover, brand new tires, alignment, DSG service, oil leak (not covered under powertrain) Need for synthetic oil and super unleaded gas have cost us and the dealer a fortune (us 3.5K carmax 2K). As the car gets older one can only expect more gadgetry to fail, and very expensive maintenance (similar to BMW, Mercedes, audi). It also rattles a lot up front and has tons of road noise.

  • not very reliable - 2010 Volkswagen CC

Had to be towed to dealership after 6000miles, it wouldnt move when engine was running. Mechatronics attached to DSG transmission had malfunction and was replaced. Everything else is ok so far. The car performs very good and is fun to drive, gas mileage is good too. Wind noise is too much when speed over 60mph.

Went from a 2008 528i to the CC because of the economy but I have no regrets the VW is an outstanding value and has a great interior/exterior combination. I leased the car and pay only $319 per month with $ 1500 dow. My bimmer used to run me $ 650 per month with $3000 down!!! The cost, looks and included maintenance make this car the one to beat. Great job VW!

  • Happy new CC owner! - 2010 Volkswagen CC

Ive had my new black CC Sport/R-Line for about 2 weeks & JUST LOVE IT! I researched MANY cars to fit my needs as I travel by car extensively in my job. I drove all the high-end options including BMW, Mercedes, Infiniti & Lexus. I chose the CC because it looks great & gave me all the options I wanted with out the big price tag. The great mileage this car gets was the icing on the cake. I got 30.4 MPG on my first road trip & thoroughly enjoyed the ride! Now I actually look forward to going "on the road again"!

  • Excellent Car - 2010 Volkswagen CC

This car is wonderful, it has a very powerful 4 cylinders engine, I would say it has more power and acceleration than many V6 engines on the market. The interior and exterior design are impressive. I really love this car. Its the best car I ever had.

  • Looks arent everything. - 2010 Volkswagen CC

I bought this car simply cuz I loved the sleek shape. I also wanted a German car, but couldnt afford the luxury makes. Im still very happy with the car, two months after the purchase, but dont like a few things about it. The ride is bumpy (suspension too firm for my taste), wind noise is strong on windy days, maybe because the frameless windows dont seal very tightly. Seating is low like a sports car. I hear a few rattling sounds when driven over potholes. Brake pedal is soft. Transmission upshifts are seamless, but downshifts not as quick. Rear visibility while backing up is poor because of the high trunk and the angle of the back window, so camera option is a must.

  • Are you kidding me?!!! - 2010 Volkswagen CC

This car is incredible! I cant believe all the car you get for the price! Plus, the 0.9 percent interest rate for 66 months is just way too good to pass up! For the price, no other car out there compares to this one. It puts Toyotas and Hondas to shame. The Mercedes C300 isnt even as nice as the CC. The Buick LaCrosse is a great ride that is beautiful inside and out but it is bigger than what I wanted. The CC just hits all the right spots!

  • Reviews helped me choose - 2010 Volkswagen CC

I have had my CC since 11-17-09 and have waited a bit to comment. Reviews helped me decide to choose this car so I will return the favor. Exterior styling is dazzling and leaves people looking. Interior is comfortable and feels natural once I get in the car. I am 6 220 so getting in and out can be tricky but once I am in, very nice. Handling is far better than I had thought possible for the money and the turbo 4 has plenty of spunk, in sport mode the car will get you on the interstate and into flow without any worries. Fuel economy is about 23 in town and freeway looks like about 32-34. Great standard stereo, lots of extras. This car will make you want to drive it so go test drive one!

  • Saved from a snowstorm - 2010 Volkswagen CC
    By -

The CC VR6 4Motion is a fantastic car indide and out that combines the favorite features of my past two (2005 Infiniti G35x and 2000 Passat GLX) and goes beyond them. It has the stability/solidity of the Passat and the driving fun of the G35x. ...and the best gizmos of each. I drove a ways from the MD burbs to the best dealer in the region (Lindsay), in VA. I arrived just as a snowstorm started. My drive back in now-blizzard conditions took 3 hours as cars were spinning out of control left and right. The CC was sure-footed the whole way. The VR6 isnt cheap, but its not much more than my old V6 Passat and the same as the G35x, and better than both. Id narrowed my search down to CC vs. A4.
