This Year's Model Updates:

After debuting last year, the Volkswagen CC sees a handful of changes for 2010. Among them are the 2.0T's adoption of VW's six-speed automated-clutch DSG transmission (it replaces last year's conventional six-speed automatic), newly standard Bluetooth, a new touchscreen-operated audio system, new wood accents for the VR6 and new rear badging that shows "CC" and indicates the trim level.

Pros:
  • Peppy and fuel-efficient base turbo engine, powerful optional V6, balanced ride and handling, well-equipped, stylish inside and out, available all-wheel drive on VR6 model.
Cons:

  • good for the money - 2010 Volkswagen CC

I bought the R-Line special edition of the sport CC. I highly recommend it. My last car was a 2004 Audi S4 which I loved but service costs were killing me. Not to mention driving a stick in chicago commute traffic was tough on my left leg. My father bought the luxury edition when they first came out and spent close to $40,000 for a 4cylinder. So I was amazed to see the Rline was available for $28,500. It has the leatherette which seems just as good as the leather, if not better. You just cant tell the difference. Standard heated power seats, blue tooth. Only diff between luxury is nav, sunroof(which only tilts anyways),auto temp. Still has large touch screen radio.

  • Awesome, absolutely awesome - 2010 Volkswagen CC

I bought it after reviewing a long list of models from various brands. The majority had bland designs and most of them look the same. The stylish and sleek design of the CC stands out from the crowd. The two-tone cornsilk interior is fantastic. The 2.0 T engine is powerful and the car handles extremely well and sporty. Once you drive one you will end buying it.

  • Great Design - Poor Engine - 2010 Volkswagen CC
    By -

Ive owned this car for about a month. Got it because of the design, nothing looks this good and exclusive for $30k (even compared to luxury brands). Interior looks good but having owned 3 Audis, the VW interior is not in the same league (and intentionally so). My biggest complaint is the engine (2.0T with Auto; I wanted an auto for commuting, my 2nd car is a manual). From a stop, the engine sputters and is seriously underpowered but when the turbo kicks in it takes off. Dont get me wrong, I love turbos like the next enthusiasts, but doesnt feel right in a car like this. Im sure the auto trans doesnt help. Despite engine performance/FWD handling, the design makes up for its shortcomings.

  • Nice change from X5 - 2010 Volkswagen CC
    By -

The CC takes a little getting use to after driving the X5 but its a smooth transition and this car is quiet, comfortable "Classic Comfort" and fun to drive. Great touch screen media center. Great for Ipods. the blue tooth controls on the steering wheel work great with the address book illuminated on the dash board. Really happy with my decision buying the CC over another SUV.

Just bought the CC in May 2010. I got the sport model with the 4 cyl turbo. I am pleased so far and have no regrets. The price was reasonable for such a well made car. It certainly is a head turner. I have had several people walk at the way across the parking lot to ask me what kind of car it is and always follow up with how nice it looks. I drove it for a week before my son explained the shift on the fly option. It is nice but would never really be used by me. As mentioned by others, it takes getting used to for the response at throttle start. It almost seems to have a delay. But after driving for a week or so you never notice it anymore. I would buy it again.

  • 2 Year / 30K Mile Update - Perfect!!! - 2010 Volkswagen CC
    By -

Ive owned this car since new for two years and 30k miles now, and all I can say this is probably one of the best cars Ive ever bought. It remains quiet, comfortable, handles great, and fun to drive. I consistently get 34MPG on the open road, with 26-28MPG in mix driving. The interior, paint, and mechanicals are holding up with little signs of wear. All in all, its a terrific car!!!

  • Best of the Best - 2010 Volkswagen CC
    By -

I have owned this car for only 4 months and I must say I have not driven a better car. I have had over 12 new cars over the years medium to high end and the CC is by far the best I have ever driven. The power is great and the handling is better then the BMWs I have owned. I look forward to driving this car every morning I go to work. As you can see I am very happy with my purchase and I will lease another one when the lease it up...

  • I Love this car - 2010 Volkswagen CC

I bought this car after researching cars to buy for the past three years.I cross shopped it with the Acura TSX the VOlkswagen GTI and the Honda Accord. I needed a four door that was well built, a drivers car, comfortable, fuel efficient and under 29K. The car looks and feels so much more expensive than it is. I have the fake two tone leather, and the seats are better than my previous cars real leather seats. Excellent computer information system that allows you to customize everything from how long the lights stay on after you leave the car to what speed to remind you to slow down. The standard premium radio has excellent sound reproduction, works with ipod and supports Bluetooth hands free.

  • Fabulous! - 2010 Volkswagen CC

The VW CC is absolutely the best car I have ever owned. I owned a Toyota and it proved to be a major headache (engine problems, expensive parts, cheap plastic everywhere, no power etc)! I have owned two Mazdas and they both lacked excitement. The CC is a stunningly beautiful car with great performance and gas mileage. Seriously, there are no cars within the price range that can compare to the CC. The interior of the CC is gorgeous and roomy (the trunk is deceivingly large also). Take your check book if you test drive one of these beauties because you will want to own one!

I have had the car going on two months and every trip is blast. I am still amazed at how much power the four puts out. The car hugs the road, the steering is very responsive and the unique window/trim setup makes for almost zero wind noise. My car did not come with a CC badge (I like that) and people are always asking what is that cool looking car!
