This Year's Model Updates:

After debuting last year, the Volkswagen CC sees a handful of changes for 2010. Among them are the 2.0T's adoption of VW's six-speed automated-clutch DSG transmission (it replaces last year's conventional six-speed automatic), newly standard Bluetooth, a new touchscreen-operated audio system, new wood accents for the VR6 and new rear badging that shows "CC" and indicates the trim level.

Pros:
  • Peppy and fuel-efficient base turbo engine, powerful optional V6, balanced ride and handling, well-equipped, stylish inside and out, available all-wheel drive on VR6 model.
Cons:

  • CC disappoints - 2010 Volkswagen CC

Ive had my CC for 4.5 months. Its been in the shop for a month. Ive had difficulty with the transmission being grabby, lurching, inconsistent. Throttle activity has been unpredictable. I never know how the car is going to respond when I hit the gas. VW has replaced my gearbox. Now, a month later, the problem is beginning to recur. I have difficulty with visibility. The bottom of the windshield is a straight horizontal. The hood curves off into oblivion on the outside corners, so its impossible to tell how close your are to a curb or wall in front of you. The automatic up and down motion of the frameless windows as you exit and enter the car gets annoying with time.

  • Piece of Junk? - 2010 Volkswagen CC

I have had my CC for 7 weeks. 2 high speed balances, 2 regular, 2 new tires and the car still shakes at 55mph and beyond. Car shakes very bad going up hill. Worst part is that the dealership that sold me the car has a consumer rating of D- with the BBB and it shows because they charge me $60.00 to have a balance done on the car 1 week after the purchase date. The rear windows also leak and the blue tooth works only when it wants too! Thanks VW for selling me a LEMON and then not standing behind your product! Oh, the $150.00 you sent to try and make me happy, I will be using it tomorrow to have all 4 tires balanced for the 5th time!

  • Cheap Light Bulbs - 2010 Volkswagen CC

Im also having issues with the tail lights, like someone else who has talked about it in his/her review. My car is now 6 months old, has 6000 miles on it, and Ive had to get three tail light bulbs replaced. They keep going out one by one. Its a waste of time having to go to a dealership frequently to get them replaced. I still love the way this car looks, but Im disappointed with its quality and performance. Road noise, wind noise, bumpy ride on potholes is all too annoying.

  • Regret Decision - 2010 Volkswagen CC

This is the first car I ever purchased new and I really regret my decision to go with Volkswagen. The car is very noisy, has creaks and rattles in the front and back. I have taken it to the dealership approx 10 times and they still cant make it right! There is a very distinctive rattle in the front driver side when going over bumps and they replaced the strut, brakes and several other things and no luck. Now they say it is normal!! Also, the plastic trim behind the rear window cracked for no reason, they dont know how that happened but said they will replace it. The part has been on order for a month!! There is also a major delay from punching the gas to actually accelerating!

  • Poor interior design and performance - 2010 Volkswagen CC

Purchased a new VW CC.It is very difficult to drive. When accelerating, you must be very careful in depressing the accelerator because if not done just right the vehicle will shoot forward too fast or bog down for a second or two causing a dangerous condition when pulling out into traffic. The dashboard is poorly designed especially the placement of the media buttons and phone buttons on the steering wheel.the air conditioning ducts are pointed down so you dont get the full blast of air when opened fully. This is the first vehicle that I have ever has that I am fearful of driving because of the performance of the car. I took it to the dealer and they said it was okay.not enough room for expla

  • Looks arent everything. - 2010 Volkswagen CC

I bought this car simply cuz I loved the sleek shape. I also wanted a German car, but couldnt afford the luxury makes. Im still very happy with the car, two months after the purchase, but dont like a few things about it. The ride is bumpy (suspension too firm for my taste), wind noise is strong on windy days, maybe because the frameless windows dont seal very tightly. Seating is low like a sports car. I hear a few rattling sounds when driven over potholes. Brake pedal is soft. Transmission upshifts are seamless, but downshifts not as quick. Rear visibility while backing up is poor because of the high trunk and the angle of the back window, so camera option is a must.
