This Year's Model Updates:

Toyota has expanded the Tundra's body style variety by adding a new StepSide model. Its distinctive styling includes flared rear wheel arches and special tail lamps. If you want to make the StepSide even sportier, there is a new sport suspension package available. All 2003 Toyota Tundras have a restyled front fascia, standard antilock brakes and a center console similar to the one found in the Sequoia SUV. For the top-line Limited trim, Toyota has added a power sliding rear window.

Pros:
  • Silky V8, Toyota build quality and reliability, less-than-full-size maneuverability.
Cons:
  • Lacks wide range of choice offered by domestics, somewhat uncomfortable front seats, meager rear cab room on Access Cab, chintzy interior trimmings.

  • Great Truck - 2003 Toyota Tundra

Very nice truck. I tow an 18 foot boat through the Colorado mountains, without trouble. Always get prase from others about the truck. The Toyota service has been good. I really like this truck

After 3+ years and almost 40K miles, the relationship between my Tundra (Mr. T) and myself is still a match made in heaven. All Ive done to the truck is put Mobil 1 in it every 5K miles. It still drives rattle free and exhibits no vibrations or brake problems. The engine is fabulous, as is the transmission, and they are tuned to work perfectly together. Although my Tundra is looking at 4 years old, I continue to receive compliments on my "new" truck. Thats one benefit of parking in the lower 40 and being the only driver. Its worth it to keep Mr. T looking good.

  • Best vehicle Ive ever owned - 2003 Toyota Tundra

I love my truck. I spent 6 months researching and test driving before I bought my Tundra. The chevy just felt like I was driving a boat and the ford just felt cheaply made. The two things that set the Tundra appart was the smooth responsive engine and the substantially higher quality interior. The only truck that comes close it is the new Nissan Titan. Even with the new F-150, American brands have a long way to catch up.

WOW...Ill never buy another brand! This truck is phenomenal! Hands down the best vehicle we have ever owned! Our Toyota Sienna aint bad either by the way! This truck has just over 130k and I am not joking, NO MAJOR REPAIRS...Tires, Light Bulbs, Belts, Hoses and Oil, THAT"S IT! Also...18 + mpg around Houston Texas, and Im not lying! I had a Toyota approved cold air intake installed at the dealer before I took it home. Well done Toyota!

  • My second Big Toyota. - 2003 Toyota Tundra

I had a 93 T100 and loved it. It only needed tires and oil changes. Thats why I bought a Tundra. Its my second big Toyota truck. Reliable, refined and a great value.

  • Consumer Reports is dead right - 2003 Toyota Tundra

What a great truck. Dont believe the BS about how this truck doesnt tow like the domestic counterparts. I have the factory towing package and this truck tows my 21 foot Bass Boat like it wasnt even hooked up back there. Drives and rides very smooth, almost like a quality sedan. Of course, it also has Toyota reliability and warranty.

Ive owned over 15 different trucks and this is by far the best 1/2 ton truck Ive ever owned.

  • I love this Truck - 2003 Toyota Tundra

Drives like a dream. Plenty of power. Quiet and very comfortable. Loaded with all the features. Overall excellent buy.

  • Terrific Tundra - 2003 Toyota Tundra

As an owner of several other trucks, my experience with the Tundra has been excellent. The ride is smooth and quiet, the interior is comfortable and well designed. The build quality of this truck is excellent in all aspects. Only gripes are that turning radius is fairly large and requires some planning for U turns etc. The rear seats could also use a few more inches of space. My Tundra has been getting very close to the rated milage for both city and highway. The engine is responsive with plenty of torque. I test drove Ford, Dodge, Nissan and Toyota (Tacoma) trucks before selecting the Tundra. Good Choice!
