Overview & Reviews
Toyota has expanded the Tundra's body style variety by adding a new StepSide model. Its distinctive styling includes flared rear wheel arches and special tail lamps. If you want to make the StepSide even sportier, there is a new sport suspension package available. All 2003 Toyota Tundras have a restyled front fascia, standard antilock brakes and a center console similar to the one found in the Sequoia SUV. For the top-line Limited trim, Toyota has added a power sliding rear window.
- Silky V8, Toyota build quality and reliability, less-than-full-size maneuverability.
- Lacks wide range of choice offered by domestics, somewhat uncomfortable front seats, meager rear cab room on Access Cab, chintzy interior trimmings.

Toyota Tundra - 2003 Toyota Tundra
By getty - December 15 - 7:56 amBought mine used. The truck has been very easy to own. Toyota really makes good trucks. Engine on my stepside is a smooth revving V8, feels like a luxury car when you drive it. Fuel economy seem less than what is on specs but acceleration is very brisk you know the power is there. I love it.

2003 Tundra - 2003 Toyota Tundra
By Dan King - October 10 - 2:26 amI have driven my Tundra under a variety of conditions. For highway driving, the Tundra handles like a car and the V-8 engine gives you acceleration on request. In winter conditions, the Tundra is nimble when maneuvering through snow covered roads. Like any machine, the Tundra has a few weaknesses. The braking is good but you will encounter pulsation with a quick slow down. The vehicle is hard on fuel, particularly if driven fast or when towing. For the most part, I am pleased with the truck. Although full size, the Tundra is a little more compact than North American pick-up trucks. Combine this with car like handling, and it makes the Tundra an ease to drive.

Tundra Takes Over - 2003 Toyota Tundra
By birdliver - September 26 - 10:00 amI bought the truck to tow my boat which weighs about 3 tons. I couldnt be more satisfied. I very much like the looks of the truck and its road handling. Everyone who drives it says it handles more like a car(always a positive comment) than its competition. I agree and approve.

New owner myself - 2003 Toyota Tundra
By Eli of Pacifica - July 8 - 10:00 amThis is my first truck, but I have to agree with others who say that the Tundra is a "car-like" drive.I am really excited b/c by the time I pay off the payments, I will probably have a baby or young one who will be able to enjoy the truck for several years to come. I reccommend the Tundra over the competition (and I did test drive the competition). I have sports package, towing package, sr5, all weather guard, and midline radio out the door for 23,850 (about 30K after 100k warranty and other tax, charges). 0 down and 1.9%apr = EXACTLY 500 a month for a truck that is tough, sporty, and had a bumper to bumper for the next 7yrs/100k!

Tough to beat - 2003 Toyota Tundra
By rdambroso - June 26 - 11:46 pmThe only strike in my mind, is the back seats. They are almost 90 degrees straight up. I am also not crazy about the suicide doors. I believe the 05 and newer corrected both issues... so its now the perfect truck!

Great truck! - 2003 Toyota Tundra
By Ken - June 5 - 9:30 pmIt is the most comfortable truck I ever owned! The power from the 4.7 V8 is the most UNREAL powerhouse I have ever seen! The only thing I dont like is the quality of the seats. The foam inside the seat feels cheap and seems to feel worn out prematurely.

Tundra - 2003 Toyota Tundra
By ames - June 1 - 2:00 amBest Truck Ever - Its like owning a sports car with 4 wheel drive. Strong power, silky smooth shifting, great looks and tough reliability. Over the past few months we have had a lot of rain, and lots of mud. Its new, but its now broken in. Handles the off road quite well. Will be going with the Super Charger soon!

Toyota Tops Chevy Hands Down - 2003 Toyota Tundra
By ray_of_light76 - April 25 - 2:00 amI love this truck. Ive had mine less than a year and it SO beats the life out of the Chevy piece of junk I had. If you want a truck to haul truck stuff, ride well, and be reliable AND be worth something should you decide to sell it a few years down the road -- get a Toyota. Fantastic Truck!
