This Year's Model Updates:

Toyota has expanded the Tundra's body style variety by adding a new StepSide model. Its distinctive styling includes flared rear wheel arches and special tail lamps. If you want to make the StepSide even sportier, there is a new sport suspension package available. All 2003 Toyota Tundras have a restyled front fascia, standard antilock brakes and a center console similar to the one found in the Sequoia SUV. For the top-line Limited trim, Toyota has added a power sliding rear window.

Pros:
  • Silky V8, Toyota build quality and reliability, less-than-full-size maneuverability.
Cons:
  • Lacks wide range of choice offered by domestics, somewhat uncomfortable front seats, meager rear cab room on Access Cab, chintzy interior trimmings.

I love it. Drives better than my Benz. Highly reccomended to all, wife, kids, mother, the president, best friends, and of course myself. Seriously - I do not know of a better engineered vehicle.

  • Nicest car I have ever owned - 2003 Toyota Tundra

Greatest vehicle ever. Incredible power, not too shabby mpg for a V8. When I first bought it, I drove from Utah to Nebraska and back climbing through Wyoming, fighting strong headwinds and side winds traveling 85 to 105 mph. This truck never missed a beat and got 18 mpg. The only other time I calculated mileage was 2 years ago hauling a 4,000 lb. trailer from Utah to Indiana. I got 10 mpg, but I had no trouble keeping it at 80 to 85 even going up steep inclines. Other than the fact that it needs a new windshield now and the shocks arent brand new, it still drives like a brand new truck even with 105,000 miles on it. Only regret: not buying leather interior. I never want to sell this truck!

  • A truck to depend on - 2003 Toyota Tundra

This truck has been reliable 100%. Its been used and abused, but still runs like new. The bad: the engineer that designed the back seat was probably 4 feet short, fuel efficiency, this truck was not designed with fuel efficiency in mind. But If you dont have a big family is ok. My dogs love the back seat. Im looking forward for many more years of driving this truck.

  • Glad My Son Totalled My Dodge - 2003 Toyota Tundra

Im in construction and Ive owned mid- sized 4x4s to get around job sites. My son totalled my Dakota and I decided to move up to a full-size. The Dakota was a toy compared to the Tundra. Im on the management side so, I dont carry ladders or forms or lumber, ect. I think a used Chevy would be better for that stuff. But I do have to get around in the snow and mud and spend a lot of time on the road. This is a smoooooth shifter that everybody on the job site tells me they wish they owned.

Its an excellent vehicle but I think there should be more cab room in the 4door models and maybe a more peppier engine for spunk.

  • Awesome - 2003 Toyota Tundra

Not only is this a great, no super truck the dealership made the buying experience a pleasure. I have had Chevys in the past and this is a much tighter, more solidly built vehicle.

  • WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS TRUCK - 2003 Toyota Tundra

I never thaught we could love a truck this much. Everyday my wife and I fight over who is going to drive it. It is the most practical, reliable, and all around smart truck. The best truck we ever owned.

  • Love it so far - 2003 Toyota Tundra

Got my Tundra SR5 V8 4x4 Access Cab two weeks ago. Love it so far. Very quiet. Also got tow pkg and captains chairs--the chairs are VERY comfortable. The truck is pretty fast, for a nearly-full size truck. Like the torque. Im getting 16 mpg in town, and Im a lead foot 50% of the time. I plan to tow a 5000 pound travel trailer, shouldnt have any problem.
