  • Classy All Around Vehicle - 2005 Toyota RAV4

After having a 2001 Rav4 with no problems, we decided on a 2005. It handles great, better acceleration and terrific mileage. It drives beautiful in the snow, and the styling is nice. This vehicle is at home at the grocery store, home improvement centers and weddings. It is great for parking and quick trips to the store, and very agile on the highway for the long trips. It is unfortunate the styling changed. The very reasons that made the RAV4 popular have changed. My wife dosent like the new models, and either do I. It is no longer the cute ute. It isnt the compact ute it once was, and the whole reason for buying a RAV.

My wife and I drove no car but Toyotas in last 30 years. RAV4 AWD is another great hit. Traction is so good that we no longer shovel snow on the drive way. Acceleration is remarkable given the size of the engine. Antilock brake is so effective on all road conditions, shine or rain.

  • SUV Heaven - 2005 Toyota RAV4

Ive wanted an SUV for a few years, but I didnt know if I could handle an SUV, being only a little over five feet tall and driving only small cars. The Toyota Rav4 is the one I settled on once it was time for the big purchase. Driving a Rav4 is like driving on a cloud. It handles smoothly, maneuvers effortlessly and is a joy to drive. I would recommend the RAV4 to anyone contemplating that first time SUV purchase.

I have owned my RAV4 for over 2 months. I have been comparing RAV4 with CRV and finally got the RAV4 due to the outlook and the safety issue (CRV engire fire scared me!!). Its running great so far. one complaint I have is the car seat not really comfortable due to the headrest leaning forward and back support is not curve enough to support my back. I have to shop around to find a back rest to put it on my car seat :(

  • For The Dog - 2005 Toyota RAV4

Traded in a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta GLS for a 2005 RAV4. Got one in Evergreen Metallic with everything except leather. Paid $23700, which was $100 over invoice, which was fair since they had to go 150 miles to get the one I wanted. Needed something bigger for our dog (Akita). The fact that the rear seats come out easily and it gets the best MPG in the SUV market (sorry not buying an Escape Hybrid) make it the perfect vehicle.

  • Fun, Safe Little SUV - 2005 Toyota RAV4

The 2005 Toyota automatic 4 dr AWD RAV- 4 is a fun, safe little SUV. It replaced a 1996 Toyota RAV-4 with manual that we drove to 90000 miles. We need it in the winter as we live on the side of a mountain at the 7000 ft level that gets lots of snow in winter. It has a lot of safety features such as side air bags for driver and all passengers, side impact door beams, stability control with traction control and antilock brakes with brake assist and EBD. Also gets 25 mp gallon.

Every Chevy or Ford Ive owned needed constant repair. I bought this last year, used from a dealer. What a great lil suv. The only thing Ive bought are tires, oil and filter. Its never left me stranded. Ive never had to call my dad to come rescue me. Gas mileage is awesome. Mine is the sport with the Hood scoop. My dads getting too old to keep working on broken down vehicles. I think he loves that Ive had it with no issues. Parking in tight spots is a breeze too. Ive got 149,000 miles and runs like its brand new. If I could change anything it would be the awd to 4wd .. I like to control that myself. But Im not complaining. Ive read they can go to 300,000 so Im crossing my fingers... love this suv!

  • This is the best car Ive ever owned - 2005 Toyota RAV4

I had my little RAV for a little over a year now and love driving her. Im 5 tall and my hubby is 64" and we both can fit in this little SUV. Gas milage, Im getting 30 -31 in town and on the freeway. This RAV 4 is a 5 speed and has the bigger 4 cyl. with plenty of power. I like how the storage is organized and love the hooks for my plastic grocery bags. The smaller size of the 2005 is for me, easy to park!! To drive this car is like driving a small sports car.

  • Awesome! - 2005 Toyota RAV4

I love my RAV-4! Highly recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a smaller sporty and functional 4WD/AWD vehicle. The gas mileage with the 4 cyl. is just as good if not better than most cars! This is a great value and a sharp looking vehicle! Although Toyota does not recommend having a remote starter professionally installed, I did and dont regret it! No problems whatsoever. Plenty of room for our bands gear, too. This little SUV is sturdy, reliable, and comfortable. I just LOVE it!
