The only challenge I have with my Rav is that it takes a while to gain power when passing or going uphill.

  • Loving it! - 2005 Toyota RAV4

Ive had my RAV less than a week...but I already love it! I purchased the "L" model with everthing but leather and heated seats. This is a great little suv. The fuel economy is wonderful (Im averaging 25 mpg so far!) and it really is a fun car to drive. Its extremley stylish with room to spare. With Toyotas reliability and great build...how can I not recommend this car?!

I have enjoyed driving again, thanks to my RAV 4. It is just the size for a smaller family. Easy to handle, yet it has power on the road when I need it. Standard features are great and it is a great, powerful, reliable vehicle for the money. If you can love an inanimate object -- I love my RAV 4!

  • Brake problem - 2005 Toyota RAV4
    By -

My wife bought rav4 2005 from maplewood brach and it has a sever problem of brake during snow and cold weather. It slides on very little snow. Even if you are driving low and try to stop it skids. It doesnt stop immediately as you step on the break. It keeps going with a sound gggggg struggling to stop. So my wife is not happy to drive during snow time.

I could not be happier. The RAV build quality and handling are tops. I have used it in limited off-road situations, and it has performed decently. For the money, you get a lot of features. Once that 4 cylinder hit 3000 rpm, it goes like a rocket! I am 63" tall and I do not feel cramped at all. I did have to take off the handles above the door on the inside, I hit my head on them sometimes. Overall, I am happy everytime I start this vehicle.

  • Excellent SUV - 2005 Toyota RAV4

Outstanding performance, especially the "zippy" feel when accelerating. Even though its a four-cylinder, it feels like a six. I love the fact that the rear seats are totally removable.

Wow, what can I say, playful, fun, responsive, AWD just totally great, expensive sound system without the cost. Want to feel free American spirit, Drive a Rav 4,

  • Very Disappointed in gas mileage - 2005 Toyota RAV4
    By -

My husband and I are basically very satisfied with our Rav 4 but are very disappointed in the gas mileage. We do not get anywhere near what was quoted. As a matter of fact, we are not getting much better than our full size AWD pickup which we traded for the Rav4. We are only averaging 19 - 20 miles per gallon and have even had it back to the dealer which they claim there is nothing wrong with our car. That was our main purpose for trading in our pickup, and that was the gas mileage.

  • Disturbing chirping noise - 2005 Toyota RAV4
    By -

All that I can say is that I love the performance of my 2005 RAV4 except for the disturbing "chirping" noise that consistently occurs when going over mild bumps in the road. It is very annoying and the dealership cannot resolve the problem after making 5 service appointments. The noise seems to be coming from where the lower part of the windshield meets the cal panel. Im not sure I spelled that correctly. Anyway, this problem ruins the entire fun of driving this vehicle. Sorry, I cant recommend a RAV4 to anyone. ... disappointed buyer.
