  • 2 yr. update on my 05 RAV4 - 2005 Toyota RAV4
    By -

I have my RAV4 for almost 2 yrs now. Its been wonderful so far. 5 speed is a blast to drive, mileage has been between 25 and 28 (city). No problems so far (touch wood). The stock tires are not the best in snow but TC and VSC overcomes the problem. Lots of room after removing back seats.

  • Awesome Ride - 2005 Toyota RAV4

I just got this used with 6,612 miles on it. It has the security alarm and L package along with roofrack and moonroof. I love its handling and how easy it is to drive and park, though it looks much bigger than it actually is. I would highly recommend looking at one of these SUVs. The RAV4 is awesome with storage and room as well. The seats can recline, move back or forward or be taken out completely in the rear.

Fun to drive and good on gas. steering is tight and responsive.

  • Excellent Four - Anyone - 2005 Toyota RAV4

Traded an 03 Highlander for this Rav4. Con: Less room, not as soft a ride. Pros: Who needs anything larger than this fourbanger ? Peppy, responsive, highly maneuverable and keeps pace on the freeway with the best of the lot. A very fun vehicle to drive (great turning radius for an SUV). Typical Toyota, interior and exterior, fit and finish very well done.

The Rav 4 is an exceptional value for its class. The handling is very tight. Cornering is comfortable. The stablility and traction control system enables a very smooth ride. The cargo space in ample. You have about 6ft of cargo space when you remove the back 2 seats. I would recommend getting a roof rack to increase your cargo options. The interior is quite functional. You dont need to reach too far to access the dashboard controls. Seats are decent albeit a bit stiff. Safety features abound. Good for family transportation. I am very happy with this purchase. Great gas mileage and lots of features make for a fun, affordable ride.

  • Finest Car Ive Ever Owned - 2005 Toyota RAV4
    By -

This is the 3rd RAV Ive purchased. My first one was a 1997, then a 2001 and now my 2005. Its the most functional vehicle Ive ever owned (except for the 97, two doors, too small and front- wheel drive only). The 2005 drives really tight, and the four-wheel drive gives me the confidence I need for winter driving. Superb stereo system. I do a lot of camping, and my RAV provides plenty of packing space, with the features of roof rack, removable rear seats a plus. For an SUV, its very economical on gas, another plus with gas prices the way they are today. If I have anything negative to say about this vehicle is that I just dont drive it enough. Maybe a drive across country is in order

I think that this is a wonderful vehicle for the money. It is roomy and doesnt feel cramped at all inside. It isnt a huge SUV, but fits a family of 3 or 4 perfectly. Fun to drive and looks good. What more could you want!

Terrific gas milege - very sporty, yet smooth comfortable ride. A coworker, who was my passenger asked if the Rav4 was a V-6 because of the exceptional pick up. Far better visibility than Honda CRV - vertually no blind spots. Lots of toys - stereo/CD player controls also located on steering wheel for ease in changing from one to the other. Excellent sound too. Lots of room - rear seats fold up and out - many compartments for storage 4 wheel drive hugs the road and its an SUV thats very easy to get in and out of. These vehicles run for years too.

  • Beware of a Few Things Before Pruchase - 2005 Toyota RAV4
    By -

My RAV is actually an 04, but I feel that I should share my experience. I liked the vehicle at first, but several things began to bug me. First, I found the front seats front seats to be very uncomfortable if driving more than 30 minutes, and so did my passengers. Second, the back seat has horrible leg room - a problem if you have back seat passengers on a regular basis. Third, the rear hatch door seems flimsy and items fall out too easily. Also, the cabin seemed to cramped - and I am only 58" and 150lbs. My previous car was a Civic and somehow the cabin of the RAV seems smaller!I traded my RAV in for a 05 Honda CRV SE - much better vehicle over all - tons more room!
