  • Performance and comfort - 2003 Toyota Camry

The Camry is a comfortable vehicle to drive. My wife is short but likes to drive it and has no concern about its performance or maintenance. I also use this car on various occasions and find it is comfortable. It handles well in all driving circumstances and is a reliable vehicle.

  • Good Car, Great Value - 2003 Toyota Camry

This is a great car. It is very reliable and has low cost maintenance. Great for a family or a single person. I purchased my car used and it was the best car purchase. I sold it at 93,000 miles but it is still a great car with a lot of life left. I also learned the resale value is great which was another bonus.

This car is wonderful, fun to drive and the only problem is that it is too easy to drive over the speed limit without ever knowing it....it is so smooth.

I want to thank Edmunds.com for making me an informed buyer and helping me get TMV on my new car. I researched six different cars and finally settled on the Camry...what a wonderful car. Gas mileage is OUTSTANDING and the ride and performance is second to none! Test drive and you will buy one...O what a feeling!

  • Pings - 2003 Toyota Camry

My 2003 Camry has been good. The Ride is nice, its comfortable and roomy but I get a pinging type sound when I accelarate. You can only hear it when the drivers side window is open not inside the car. It doesnt effect accelation but the noise is annoying and I dont know what it could mean down the road. Ive been to two dealership who agree there is a noise or pinging type sound but dont know what to do about it. I would be curious if any one else hears this noise on their 2003 Camrys

  • Still Looking Good - 2003 Toyota Camry

Ive had my Camry for over 3 months now, and I am pleased. Aside from a minor cosmetic touch up (flaw on the dash), the cars performance has been exactly what I was looking for. After hearing comments from 03 Accord owners about rattles and apparent design flaws, plus news of the Nissan Altima having major problems with its engine, I believe I made the right choice.

  • Pause Before Moving - 2003 Toyota Camry

Although the vehicle has excellent fit and finish and the quality of the build is quite good, Toyota fails to complete the vehicle. First, the vehicle pauses every time you push down on the gas, then it goes. This is maddening. Second, the brakes go down to the floor--no better stopping though. This is disturbing. The tailpipe hangs down under the car and only has about 5" of clearance from the ground. There are far too many blind spots. The mirrors are for decoration. The Tilt Steering column doesnt. Toyota tells us that if any of the warning lights come on, they will get interested--Otherwise-Toyota designed the faults and likes them.

This car is great for the price. FOr only about $25,000, you get everything you would need. I really enjoy using the Temperature Control where you just set the temperature, and it will control the movement air in the car and it will decide whether to use A/C or Heater. On the exterior, it looks more like a Mercedez now. Its also a very quiet car, especially when youre on the freeway, you can hear everything without having to shout in the car. On the rear view mirror, a compass is provided so you always know where youre going!

In response to Hallowell, we just purchased an 03 Camry SE and it DOES have a tilt steering wheel. The lever is directly underneath the steering column.

  • dont buy this car get a 2004 and up - 2003 Toyota Camry

bought the car from a dealer. car needed the starter and fan system replaced 2 days after. car runs really hot. oil is seeping out of the engine. car has 103,000 miles on it for a Toyota this shouldnt be much. there is a known issue with camrys from 2002-2006 with the headbolts stripping off the engine block causing the engine to overheat and then blow at any givin time.and there is no support from toyota they could car less selling the car on name alone instead of quality. if i could go back in time i would tell the dealer to keep it and got into something else. purchased it for Toyota name and quality and got the worst car experience ive ever havve to deal with do not buy this car
