03 Camry - 1st Impressions - 2003 Toyota Camry
By KJS - May 19 - 2:00 amI had done extensive research on the Camry and Passat. I sat in each seat (including rear middle seat) for each car for minimum of 15 minutes to determine most comfortable, the Camry won as it was roomier and more comfortable. Research, and personal experience with my 97 Camry showed Camry has better reliability. [So how did I get to sit in each car for about 45 minutes? Your not going to believe it, but on New Years Eve I drove to each dealer to look at my finalists. BOTH dealers had a car unlocked on their lots! I was also able to listen to the Monsoon stereo system in the VW!!!. Toyota sound system is far supperior.

I am enjoying my Camry - 2003 Toyota Camry
By WheelHappy - May 2 - 10:00 amVery quiet & powerful, but, some lag upon acceleration. Yet no problem in quickly reaching high speed. Ride is cushy, comfortable & quiet. You will feel some sway if you hit a bump turning. Overall design is very smart. Big controls for the sound system and A/C make them easy to operate. The JBL system (6 CD in dash + Cassette)sounds awesome! Ample leg and headroom in front and the back. The trunk is very spacious and has a storage net. Leather interior and the Faux Maple dash rival higher priced luxury cars. One-touch power windows and moon roof. It is a solid car with a very luxurious presence.

New Hotness - 2003 Toyota Camry
By New Hotness - April 1 - 2:00 amI have always heard how dependable Camrys are and I drive a 93 Celica myself. So I have seen first hand at how great Toyotas are. Then once they changed the body style of the Camry and came out with the sporty addition (SE)I knew I had to have one. I just bought one and it is everything I wanted. This car is quite, stylish and comfortable. Not to mention a very good product from Toyota. And as always dependable!

Great Family Car - 2003 Toyota Camry
By artc - March 27 - 10:00 amCamry is a solid family Car and great for commute to work. LE offers simplistic yet functional design; however, it is a bit higher price than domesticÂ… Will I buy a domestic over Camry? No! ItÂ’s the reliability kept me an honest Toyota believer. I know you would be too.

Extremely disappointed - engine problems - 2003 Toyota Camry
By dat22 - March 20 - 8:16 pmWe purchased a used 2003 toyota camry 16 months ago and have repeat problems with the engine/head bolts stripping out of the engine block. This is a know issue related to NHTSA Item Number : 10037592, Summary : TOYOTA: THERE MAY BE DAMAGED CYLINDER HEAD BOLTS THREADS. *RM, and specifically with engine 2AZ-FE. Dialership and Toyota executive level have not done anything to help. I will not buy another toyota.

Hate my Toyota - 2003 Toyota Camry
By Don - March 17 - 8:56 amBought this vehicle used. Was forced into market after my Mazda Protege which I loved was totalled. Had a Camry for a rental and it seemed pretty nice for a few days. Now that Ive lived with one I hate it. Seating position is bad. After about a half hour, arms get tired because armrests too far away from steering wheel and steering too light to rest arm. Paint chips easily. Bad stink from exhaust. Engine sounds like it was made by John Deere. Radio reception terrible and stereo sound poor. Seats too soft after about an hour causing back and shoulder aches. Dealer wont do any more than they have to regarding repairs. Certified warranty coverage seems to have many loopholes. Could go on...

Great car to own - 2003 Toyota Camry
By Rosa - March 9 - 4:40 amI really like my Camry. But we had to replace the intake manifold. Other than that it has been a great car ro own and drive. Roomy with good sound system, because music in my car is mandatory.

JBL Premium Stereo System - 2003 Toyota Camry
By Sothipras - February 13 - 10:00 amPlease do not fall for that "JBL Premium Stereo" which comes standard on the XLE model, and can be add as an option on the LE. They are the worse sound system you could find. Theres nothing premium about it. 8 Speakers that Toyota claims locate at 6 locations, funny I couldnt come up with 8 at all. They intentionally make this as a gimmicks. In conclusion: XLE HAS (VERY, VERY) BAD SOUND SYSTEM. IT DOES NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. If you picked LE model, save money and go out and install a better sound system. DO NOT choose JBL Premium sound system. Youll be glad you did not chose. I guranteed it.

Former Accord Owner - 2003 Toyota Camry
By westies01 - February 13 - 10:00 amJust got my car the other day and notice a big improvement over 2003 Honda Accord EXL. I purchased my Accord in 09/2002. I have had to have a strut replaced after 2 weeks of owning, new rotors, water leaking in the trunk and stains on the headliner. The headliner was replaced once and was staining again. No problems withis car and I think Toyota may have a better product.
