Great little SUV, Very useful in everyday life. It just got back from its first road trip of 700 miles of mixed driving, and got 30.3 mpg!

  • Dont Overlook Subaru - 2010 Subaru Outback

I purchased this car about a week ago. We looked at every SUV in its class. The Outback surpassed all in ride, comfort, build quality, safety, and price hands down. I had never really paid much attention to Subaru before this. I have a feeling it wont be the last Subaru we will own.

  • New 2010 Outback - Nice improvements! - 2010 Subaru Outback

This new Outback has a ton more room than the previous model, rear seat and cargo room are great! The ride, smoothness, and quietness, are very impressive. Very solid feeling, no rattles or issues so far. The quality look and feel of the interior is excellent, very thick and padded carpet is a nice touch. Seems like a very good price/value for all that you are getting in this all-new Outback.

  • Happy with my 1st Subaru - 2010 Subaru Outback

Traded in my 99 Lexus RX300 for a 2010 Outback. This is not the old Subaru that people have in mind. It has more room at the back than the RX. With the limited trim, I dont miss any luxury features and I got more tech stuff like blue tooth, mp3, steering wheel control, etc. Compared to the RX, this car is more stable when cornering. The ride is comfortable and quiet. With 2.5L engine and CVT, the gas mileage is very good. I have only driven 200 miles but in heavy rain, it handles beautifully. I looked at Honda CRV and Toyota Rav4 before deciding on the Outback. Im totally happy with the quality, fit and ride. Funny, I dont even miss my Lexus! Luxury car drivers, dont overlook Subaru!

  • Great Vehicle, No Regrets - 2010 Subaru Outback

Coming from a Nissan Xterra to the Subaru was exceptionally easy. The 2010 Outback offers the greatest value, safety, fuel economy, and quality for a discriminating buyer. The 6spd is clean and crisp with close ratios for easy shifting. The AWD system performs exemplary with the only problem being slight cases of over confidence (a few trips around an empty parking lot to get used to the car is a smart move!). Subaru hit the mark with this car. The appeal of the vehicle is with a wide range of buyers with styling that is simple yet great for a family. Some have had issues with recalls on the vehicle but that shows a company willing to listen and improve their products.

  • Having Second Thoughts on Subaru - 2010 Subaru Outback

I purchased a manual 2010 Outback after wrecking my BMW in a snow storm. It definitely has great all-weather traction, and is very comfortable. Im very tall and I fit very comfortably in the front seats. The power front drivers seat is nice. It does OK on the highway, but is more jittery than my old car. I thought the manual transmission would be fun (my last 4 cars were manuals) but the clutch engagement is very high, and not progressive. The 4 cylinder engine has just enough oomph but is very noisy at anything more than medium throttle. The handling is clumsy compared to a car, but probably better or on par with other mid-size SUVs. Should have gone with the AWD Ford Fusion

  • Not your grandmas Subaru - 2010 Subaru Outback

This is the 7th Subie to grace our driveway. We currently have a Baja, WRX, Legacy and another Outback in the driveway. My wife and 4 kids all drive Subies. The 2010 Outback/Legacy is the closest to a main stream vehicle Subaru has built. A roomy interior and much more comfortable seating is immediately noticeable. The Outback is peppy even with the 2.5 and CVT. The CVT is strange at first, but I am getting used to it. The Subaru secure driving experience is still there; its just quieter, more comfortable and efficient than earlier models. Part of Subarus charm was the quirkiness of its vehicles. Im not sure where the quirks are in this car yet. It is a blast to drive though.

Driven 4000 miles. I am really happy with the purchase. Needed a family car and was not interested in SUV gas mileage. Been getting 27 mpg combined. The CVT is slick but does get confused at times. It is a little funny looking and after coming from a BMW m3 performance and outback should not be in the same sentence. But its versatility and price can not be beat.

  • Very Pleased - 2010 Subaru Outback

Weve had the car about 3 weeks & took it on a 900 mile road trip last week. Got 29.5 MPG at 65 MPH. Smooth, quiet ride on most roads. Enough power to pass, go up hills, etc. Very comfortable drivers seat & good in rear. Good visibility front & sides, not so good to rear. We got a backup camera, so this helps greatly. Great looking interior. Great fit & finish. On the downside, over assisted steering at highway speeds. Front passengers seat cannot be adjusted for height.

  • Im Lovin It! - 2010 Subaru Outback

No, Im not talking about McDonalds. Just got the new 2010 redesigned outback and couldnt be happier. Thought I might miss the shift feeling, but instead the CVT is much better as youre not trying to anticipate the jerking when the car shifts, especially when accelerating up a hill. Love the new more rugged body style and updated interior. Not often when a car is able to get bigger, faster, smoother and at the same time 3mpg better gas mileage. After 70 miles already averaging 25.5mpg with 50/50 city/highway. Cant believe how smooth the ride is, feels like a much higher end car. The last Subaru I owned was back in 93, and I must say its been too long!
