  Not My LEXUS, but we still like it! - 2010 Subaru Outback

  Expect to be looking for "RUST RESISTANT" brake rotors to replace factory installed. Factory specs for allignment not the best for breezy days on open road. Oh, and the water intrusion! Jammed driver door window, "premium sound system" really sucks. Constantly having to clamp loose heat shields from rattling. Going back to Toyota products.

  Sports Wagons are the thinking mans or womens SUV as they are roomy, environmentally friendly and much more fuel efficient. The new Subaru Outback is tomorrows car, today; at an affordable price point , with lots of comfort, value, high quality fit & finish. The ride is smooth over bumps and New York being the pothole capital of the world, the Outback makes driving a relaxing and less jarring event. The fuel economy is decent, not the 30mpg we want,still the v6 engine is quiet and powerful. The car has surprisingly fast pickup conquers steep hills with a full trunk with ease, fits in any environment, from long islands gold coast, to uptown Manhattan, without causing undue attention.

  Former VW - BMW Owner - 2010 Subaru Outback

  Made my decision to purchase after getting my BMW out of winter storage, became exhausted from the pounding of those run flat tires, just terrible. The ride is smooth, vehicle is sure footed, I now enjoy a relaxed commute. Purchased the 2.5 with manual transmission, just could not become convinced on the CVT. About 1,000 miles into it and has been enjoyable thus far.

  I was very impressed with the performance and ride of this vehicle. It took a few hours to get the feel of the steering (small wheel, which is comfortable) and the transmission (cvt) rather than the upgraded radio i had the dealer install a hands free phone system, a auto dimming mirror, mud flaps and rear bumper protector. I had a Pontiac Aztek which i was very fond of and was hesitant about the move to the Subaru. But, i immediately felt comfortable with everything about this vehicle. My first tank provided 30.5 mpg, which is great. the seats are a little smaller than the Pontiac, but comfortable for me, my wife does not like the passenger seat. Thats it. Very nice car.

  An outstanding vehicle - 2010 Subaru Outback

  I have owned quite a few cars in my 45 years of driving and this is one of the best. It doesnt have the element of luxury my BMWs and Mercedes have had in the past but it is far and away the most trouble free and reliable cars ever. I have had it in storage since I bought it and used it briefly in 2010 driving from West Coast to the east but through, snow, ice and tornados and incredible winds it was effortless. A quality automobile and although I love driving Beemers I hate taking them to the shop which is a constant. Subaru does it right and the 2010 redesign was an excellent example of fine engineering, while not the fastest definitely the safest and most reliable I have owned.

  Still Happy after a Year - 2010 Subaru Outback

  It has been about a year of ownership of my Outback. This is the familys 3rd Subaru and my 2nd Outback. It may be too nice a car for me. Subaru owners use their car for hard work, rough terrain and bad weather. The 2010 model change made the car nicely refined and still able to perform those utilitarian functions. The upgraded audio/Bluetooth option was a good investment. I love the CVT transmission: in the mountains it adjusts as necessary instead of the constant shifting up & down on convential trannies. The 4-cylinder is more than adequate to climb on the interstate hills at full speed. The larger interior is great. The gas mileage is much better than expected.

  Wonderful car - 2010 Subaru Outback

  We have been enjoying this car for two weeks now, and the only complaints we have are menial. The car has an extremely smooth and comfortable ride quality while providing very good gas mileage for a car of its size. It would be nice to have a little more "ummf" under the hood, but I wouldnt call it underpowered. All in all Subaru has managed to improve an already great car!

  Car drives and handles great. We have had it in the snow this year and drove like dry pavement. Have used the roof racks with our tandem ocean kayak and they work great-very beefy. Ya our old Thules wont work, but I stopped sniveling when the road noise went away and got better mpg when not in use. Overall great car.

  Very Pleased - 2010 Subaru Outback

  Weve had this car for about 3 weeks. We took a 900 mile trip last week & are very happy. Got 29.5 MPG doing about 65 MPH. Like the CVT. There is enough power to pass, go up hills, etc. Drivers seat comfort is very good. Good also in the back. Smooth, quiet ride on most roads. Fit & finish are very good. Has a feeling of quality to it. Good front & side visibility. Not so great in rear, but we got the NAV with the backup camera, so that helps greatly. Bluetooth & iPod connection work well. On the down side, over assisted steering feel at highway speeds. Passengers seat can not be adjusted for height. Choppy ride on rough roads.

  Outstanding Outback! - 2010 Subaru Outback

  Purchased my first Subaru about a week ago, an Outback 3.6R Limited. Traded my 2004 Lexus RX330 in on this jewel. The Outback is awesome on the road; quiet, smooth and comfortable - quieter than the RX. Got the Nav system, and I like it a lot. And for those who have complained about not being able to make Nav and Bluetooth selections while driving, get over yourself! Its a safety issue! This is the most fun-to-drive car I have ever owned, and the fact that it takes regular gas is great. I look forward to many adventures with "Alice" (as in Alice Springs, located in the Australian Outback). I even have a mascot for Alices back seat - a small stuffed Kangaroo, named "Subie-roo"
