Overview & Reviews
A new 3.5-liter V6 replaces the previous 3.0-liter unit. Larger 17-inch wheels and tires are now standard on the V6 AWD model and optional on the front-wheel-drive version. Antilock brakes are standard on all V6 models. The interior has been upgraded to reduce noise and now incorporates metallic and leather trim. The front seats now have seatbelt pre-tensioners and dual-stage front airbags. New entertainment choices include MP3-compatible CD players, satellite radio and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system (late availability).
- Strong V6, large doors ease entry/exit, spacious cabin, comfortable ride, excellent crash test scores, good fuel economy.
- Bland interior, low-grade plastics, inconsistent build quality, noisy four-cylinder, vague steering.

The Vue is good, the noise is too loud - 2004 Saturn VUE
By spcljac - August 18 - 4:23 pmI bought my Vue brand new in 2004. The reliablity is good. The rear motor on the back window is going, the mileage is great 22 in the city and 27- 28 on the highway. The comfort level is good. The problem is the road noise is terrible. Even with all the windows up you can hear all the road noise, it is deafening.

Everything an SUV should be! - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Matt in New Haven CT - July 28 - 2:00 amI initially was interested in the Vue because its one of the few cars under $30K with 5-star front and side safety ratings, and side curtain airbags. Then, I fell in love with the looks, mileage (29 MPG!), nice ride, really comfortable drivers seat, great quality all around, and amazing cargo space. Not to mention the price! Best deal you could get on a car with these features.

new Saturn owner - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Happy Saturn owner - July 23 - 10:00 amHaving owned this vehicle for only a month we have found it to be very suitable for our use. Our previous vehicle was a Chevy Tahoe. The Saturn is smaller and not as luxurious as the Tahoe but the cost was much less. We can get by with a smaller vehicle at the present time and it was a fair trade.

Fun Driver - 2004 Saturn VUE
By 61Bugeye - July 23 - 10:00 amReally dont have any complaints of yet. Have been more than satisfied with all aspects of the Vue. Would buy another. With the price of gas as it is and the fact that we need a four wheel or All wheel drive. Gas milage is great for an SUV.

By Anakala - July 17 - 10:00 amExtreme difficulity ""finding" gears ... especially downshifting to first after stop. Interior finishes and seat covers are poor materials and finish.

Fantastic Car - 2004 Saturn VUE
By popcorn - June 12 - 5:23 pmWe purchased this for our daughter. We were a little concerned with a 4 cyl wondering if it had enough power. The dealer told us it had ample power and it certainly does. This has been the perfect car 5 Star Crash Rating,Inexpensive to insure, ABS brakes and all wheel drive. We love it.

Best I ever bought! - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Linnea - May 13 - 7:20 amI went from a Dodge Caravan to a Saturn SL in 2000, thought Id died and gone to heaven! When that lease was up, I needed something larger for my family so I invested in the VUE. It may not have the best mileage (it is a mini-SUV you know)but its Way better than the Caravan I had and I havent had a single problem with it since I bought it in 2004! I really didnt think I would like an automatic transmission but it drives almost like a 5 speed and gets me everywhere I need to go at economy prices. Dont change your product Saturn, we have a winner here.

most SUV for the money - 2004 Saturn VUE
By goose6776 - April 23 - 10:00 amWe test drove Liberty, Exterra, CRV, and Escape/Tribute. VUE was by far the best. Most powerful engine, better gas mileage (getting 21-26mpg), most cargo room, most comfortable back seat, and comfortable drive. (No experience of road noise or steering problems these experts whine about) I am 63" and have no problem sitting in back seat. Dealer incentives were the nail in the coffin. Would put the VUE in the same class as Highlander or Murano, but 5-10k less expensive. We just flipped 3000 miles and still loving it.
