  • Fun to Drive!!! - 2008 Nissan Altima
    By -

I bought this car after doing tons of research for 3 months. I found a great deal and I have not been disappointed. This car is so fun to drive. The 6 spd manual is quick and sharp, and the power is endless. Mash the gas at 60 mph and watch the world turn blurry. Interior is spacious and comfortable, and the exterior styling turns heads, especially mine. Im very happy with my purchase, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants the size of a sedan, the speed and handling of a sports car, and the technology of a BMW.

  • Nice look but poor build quality - 2008 Nissan Altima

My wife loves the look of the car and thats why we bought it. But the build quality of the car is not good: the car is light, the steel sheet feel cheap and thin. Our doors have already collected a lot of dents and dings. I am a little worried how long this car can actually last. Engine and CVT so far so good. The automatic windows can be inconvenient. You have to start your engine to be able to operate your windows.

  • From SUV to Car - LOVING IT! - 2008 Nissan Altima

I traded in my SUV for a small car after gas started to rapidly rise...wasnt convinced Id love the new car, but did it anyway to save money. Best thing I have done in a long time! My Altima is much more spacious than it looks and gets awesome gas mileage. I average 34 MPG on my daily commute. I have recommended to many of my friends and family who are complaining of the gas prices.

  • Made the Right Choice! - 2008 Nissan Altima
    By -

I shopped around for the past 8 months, trying to decide between the Camry SE V6, Accord EX V6, or the Altima 3.5 SE Sedan. I ran the numbers, test drove all three and made it a point to get opinions from owners of each of them. From all of my research, I finally purchased the Altima the other day and can say that I have made the right choice! This car is amazing, CVT is smooth as silk, engine has loads of power, interior quality is top notch and so far I am getting excellent gas mileage.

  • Very happy with my Purchase so far - 2008 Nissan Altima

Im very happy with my purchase so far. I was looking for a car with luxury plus fuel economy. I have gotten that with my Altima 2.5SL. Surprisingly enough, the performance on the car is not bad and I hardly miss the Supercharged power of my GTP that I traded in.

  • Altima coupe 2.5S CVT - 2008 Nissan Altima

Purchased in June. Great looking car. Plenty of power. Handles well but the ride is too soft, a bit mushy for me. Car feels as if its floating at certain speeds, mainly under 40 mph. Brakes a bit touchy but seem powerful. Visibility is very good except for backing up. Big blind spot. Need to be very good at using mirrors. Great looking color in the Azure Blue, but very, very hard to keep clean. Curious to see how it handles the snow, I live in the northeast. MPG is OK.

  • Would buy again - 2008 Nissan Altima

Have put 5,000 miles on my Altima, no problems to date. Love the keyless ignition, comfortable, excellent performance for a 4 cylinder, mileage on highway has been in the 30 to 32 mpg range and looks great inside and out. Only complaint small trunk opening.

  • I like my new Altima - 2008 Nissan Altima

Have only owned a week, and came from owning a 97 Jeep Wrangler for the past 10 years, so my auto experience is rather limited. Needless to say, I love my new Altima. Very roomy - am 6 and have plenty of leg/head room. The back seats have comfortable space as well. The clutch is shorter than my old Wranglers and the response is worlds better. The 270 HP is nice on the highway. Steering feels good at high speeds. The fuel economy is OK, but wasnt expecting much with the engine size. I like the layout of the internal controls, very intuitive.

  • Is anyone else having this problem - 2008 Nissan Altima
    By -

I really do like my 2.5S, but when accelerating from a stop, between 25-45 mph there is a noticeable missing and loss of power. The dealerships service dept. could find nothing wrong with it, and suggested that I had gotten some "bad gas." I upped the octane from 87-89 before they even suggested this. One of the reasons I bought the car was for its good gas mileage. If I end up having to buy super premium gas for it to run well, I have defeated my purpose. Also, there is little lumbar support in the drivers seat which makes long drives uncomfortable. Otherwise, I really like the car...

  • 2.5SL on a 100 mile commute to NYC - 2008 Nissan Altima
    By -

I bought this car primarily due to my experience with my 2003 2.5S that I bought used and drove to 130,000 miles before giving in to treating myself to an upgrade. At the time I drove 1000 miles or more per week. Yes, Per week, so I wanted some additional items to comfort my drive a bit. I opted for the 2.5SL since gas was over $3.69/gal at the time but I wanted a nicer interior and added the connection package so I could have Bluetooth. Honestly, I was disappointed in the Bose stereo upgrade. The headrests lack a forward/backward adjustment which can prove a bit uncomfortable at times. I flipped them around to solve this issue.
