I was very happy with my purchase of a 2008 Nissan Altima. This vehicle is very fun to drive! The outside and the inside of the vehicle look very good! I get good compliments from people who see my new vehicle, they tell me that it looks very good! I enjoy driving my new vehicle in the city and it is smooth driving in the highway. Nissan did an excellent job with the Altima design and performance! In my book I give it 10 out of 10!

I purchased this over Thanksgiving and I love it! Its very solid and hugs corners well. I previously owned a 2004 Camry and it also was solid but it lacked style and power. You wont be disappointed. I bought mine in Georgia while on vacation and drove it back to Chicago. All I can say is "WOW". It feels like a luxury sedan without the luxury price. If you buy the baselne its worth adding the SL Package.

  • CVT gone at 50k. Wheel bearings at 40k, radio - 2008 Nissan Altima

Overall, this car was not a good choice for my wife. She had very annoying issues with it almost immediately with the automatic light shutoff and battery dying on her at the airport. In 2009 she used AAA 7 times. In 2011 we replaced wheel bearings, exhaust shield came loose, and radio would become unresponsive on random occasions - light would dim and volume controls would only cycle 6 and 7. Then in 2012 at 51k, the tranny goes. Yes, Nissan came through and forked over $5k towards replacing it as well as some other outstanding recall and emmision problems. Thanks for that. From a simple, cheap car all she wanted was decent reliability, at least up to a respectable 80k. But tranny at 51k. No

It’s almost a month since I have this car and I love it! I’m a father to a 5 month old baby girl and whenever we go out she goes to sleep. The suspensions are awesome, excellent ride, very good acceleration! Mid-sized sedan with a character of a sports car!

  • AWESOME CAR - 2008 Nissan Altima

I bought my 2 door Nissan Altima 3.5 loaded and have not regretted my decision. I would not recommend this vehicle for anyone with toddlers with rear facing car seat (booster seats are fine). I love the keyless strart and entry. When the battery goes dead (which has only happened once and that was just recently it was only $8 to replace the battery. Not bad for the convenience. My previous vehicle was a BMW X3 the Nissan is by far a better car.

  • Extreme CVT at Value Price - 2008 Nissan Altima

This is a sporty car with midsize roots and value pricing in its segment. The Altimas CVT and engine mating and an interior that we found best in the class for us make it a home run. Drive the manual shift CVT on a twisty road and you will smile all the way home. The power bands are beautifully executed. CVT does great even in hills. Bravo Nissan engineering!

I have driven this vehicle just over 1 yr. and so far I have been satisfied with its performance and fuel economy.

I bought my 08 Altime from my previews experience with a 03 Altima. I put 150,000 on my 03 Altima without any problem, so i bought an 08 Altima. 08 Altima is a great product, but the CVT transmission is horrible. I had so many problems while driving in the city from 40 to 50 mph. Also, the mic with blue-tooth feature is terrible. When you on the phone with another person, they cant hear you. Need better mic. Nissan needs to bring back their traditional transmission or they will lose alot of customers. I trade- in my Altima for a pre-owned Lexus.

  • No Regrets - 2008 Nissan Altima

It has been 3 months and 3 thousand miles since my purchase. The car rides smooth and quiet. I test drove a 4 and it had enough power but I was willing to sacrifice some mpg for a very quiet 6. Im noise sensitive. Getting 24 mpg suburban driving, highway 28-29 with a ton of get up and go! Bose sound system is fabulous with the quiet engine. Interior feels very spacious. Dash not cluttered. Controls nicely positioned. Nice leg space. Trunk offers plenty of suitcase and stuff space. Good sight lines through rear window when backing up. The transmission is very smooth, quiet, and easy to get used to. No need for a stick shift.

  • It looks like a high performance car. - 2008 Nissan Altima

I was taken by the sporty looks of the coupe. I thought it looked better than the 350Z. I got the premium package which included leather seats, sun roof, alloy wheels and Bose sound system. It handles better than other sports cars Ive driven which cost $10K more. The shiftless CVT is awesome. Cant wait til I drive it again.
