  • I absolutely love this car! - 2008 Nissan Altima

This car is amazing. It drives beautifully. I love everything about it. The Bose stereo sounds great. Its so fuel efficient, such a nice change from a 98 Chevy Blazer. The look of the car is hot and I love that you dont see a ton of them on the road. I have the premium package and its so worth every penny. The bluetooth sounds so clear. I love the push start button. The features of the car are great and Im so glad I own this car.

  • Early Impressions - 2008 Nissan Altima

I just purchased my Altima 2 weeks ago, but, so far, I’m thrilled. Nissan wasn’t on my radar initially, but after a good bit of research (mostly on Edmunds), I decided to give it a look. I was really impressed by the overall package, the styling, the ride, the performance are all great considering the overall price. And the gas mileage ratings were as good or better than anything else I was considering, while the 2.5L engine has sufficient pep. It had the most bang for the buck of the vehicles I test drove, by a comfortable margin. Two weeks in, I have no complaints, still quite pleased with the purchase. I’m getting right about 29 mpg, with a mix of commuting and in- town driving.

  • Performance + Features + Looks = Awesome - 2008 Nissan Altima

Ive had the car for two weeks and couldnt be happier. The V6 CVT engine is quite the performer and its great not having the "shifting gears" feel on conventional automatics. The turning is phenomenal. The car both looks and feels sporty. I got the performance and tech package and the quality of the interior feels like a upper end luxury car. The fuel economy for a 270hp 3.5L is rather decent (who needs a hybrid). The best part about the looks of the car is the back of it (have to see it in person). I like having all of the accessories put into two packages instead of 20+ add ons. Anyone in the market for a two door coupe should definitely test drive an Altima coupe.

  • Reliable Car - 2008 Nissan Altima

I bought the 2008 basicl Nissan Altima in 2009 based on positive reviews from other consumer organizations. I sold it with 103,000 miles on it to get a lower mileage car. The car turned out to be a reliable car that can be driven for many more miles. It has an attractive, sporty look. It provided a smooth ride, quality audio, frosty air conditioning, and good brakes. The controls are easy to read and to figure out. I had no problems driving in snow or rain. The repairs were basically routine maintenance. The seats tend to be stiff. One time the driver-side window got stuck.

  • Very good - 2008 Nissan Altima

I got 08 Blck Nissan Altima 3.5SE for my 17th birthday and still driving now. The CVT is terrific, i think it saves more gas than other 6-speed transmission cars. my battery died last month and my dealer covered half of the price. its also good on snow too. i test drove Camry and Accord, but Altima was the best in design and speed, because they dont have pish button and keyless.

  • Best Car ever, except for Bose Speakers - 2008 Nissan Altima
    By -

I got this car brand new with 2 miles on it and have not stopped loving it ever since. I was looking at the Camry as well as the Accord, but the Altima stood up ahead of the other two. The CVT is awesome. For a 4 cylinder, it drives like a 6 cylinder. My only problem is that there is a rattling noise when I turn up the Bose speakers to volume 15 of 32. It sounds like something is loose in either the dash or the passenger door.

  • This is one awesome car! - 2008 Nissan Altima

My super black 3.5 SE coupe is comfortable, great looking and most importantly, extremely fun to drive! I test drove a Lexus IS 250 the same day and there was no comparison. As a former Maxima owner, I have always been impressed by the quality and performance of Nissan cars and this coupe is no exception. Its quick, handles very well and turns heads. I havent even let my wife drive it yet and Ive had it a week!

  • Good if you dont get snow! - 2008 Nissan Altima
    By -

This is the worst car I have ever driven in the snow. I live in Vermont and I would trade for my Stratus any day. It is not front heavy and is bad in snow. The rear window defogger is insufficient in cold weather, the car creeks when it has ice on it. The rear lights get foggy, I already had one replaced. The car is fun to drive, as long as there is no snow. The CVT is amazing on the highway. Excellent for driving in the city. The dual exhaust looks great. Great brakes, four wheel disc. And the intelligence key is fantastic...except I never know where my keys are to unlock the house because I never need to take them out for my car!

  • Engine Knock! - 2008 Nissan Altima
    By -

Purchased the car the summer of 2007 everything was fine until 3000 miles. I noticed a faint knock coming from the engine bay so I took it to the dealer for a check. The service adviser told me that I was using the wrong oil filter, not! Second visit they told me it was a heat shield, not! Finally, I got them to admit the knock is from inside the engine and got some inside info as well. They told me that engine parts are from different vendors so quality varies from part to part? The engine knock was from a piston slap in the block and that most 2.5l suffer from it, right around the first oil change and on. Nissan is aware of the issue but claims that there is no excessive damage so SOL..?

  • Having Problems!!! - 2008 Nissan Altima
    By -

I purchased new 11/2007, after 2 months, started hearing a roaring noise in the front tires, took it to the dealership, told it was a problem with the tire, no offer to replace. Noise increasingly became louder and louder. I took back, at that point they found 2 bad wheel bearings, they replaced bearings. Ive had several problems with the car and Nissan isnt very cooperative. This is the last Nissan Ill ever buy - back to Toyota again!
