2008 Altima 2.5S nice but could be bette - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Fred from Albuquerqu - September 16 - 10:06 amI like the inside and outside style of the vehicle. The layout of the controls on the dash are very user friendly. Good gas mileage and surprising pep in starting from a stop. Not the best vehicle for 6 ft or taller people since steering wheel (even though telescopic) does not extend enough if seats are set back for leg room. Wish Nissan could have added 1 or 2 more inches to the extension.

Excellent car - 2008 Nissan Altima
By car enthusiest - September 7 - 3:43 amIts a good car with a good engine. Leg room in the back is very small, but overall comfort is good. The avalible features are superb. Safety is good. Maintenance is low due to a new design in transmission.

Love it! - 2008 Nissan Altima
By TJ - September 3 - 3:06 pmLove everything about the car! The CVT takes some getting used to but is very fuel efficient while surprisingly powerful for the mpg.

Beware of heater - 2008 Nissan Altima
By BEWARE OF HEATER - August 27 - 3:23 amWhen you put the heater on the foot only position the heat comes out mainly from the windshield defrost and not the feet. If you put the heat on the foot/defrost position it performs the exact same function. My problem is Im 4"10 and the defrost blows right in my face which is gagging me. My husband is 6" 1 and it dries out his contacts. I have contacted 3 dealers and the manufacturer who say that is the way the car is made. My point is why have two buttons if they both perform the exact same function. No one can give me an answer to that so Im stuck with this horrible heater blowing in my face. Also the face vents tilt but do not close so you have air hitting you from there too!!

Coupe de Grace - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Coupe de Grace - August 19 - 12:23 pmI wanted to buy the 2007 Altima SL sedan, but the coupe caught my eye and my imagination. I test drove it and I knew I had to have this car! The leather seats are very comfortable and the sound system is excellent. Handing at all speeds is precise without being overly sensitive, and the 2.5L engine is powerful (and economical) enough for me, having had a S 2004 2.5S Altima sedan. I cannot say enough about the Continental tires - they grip tenaciously in wet weather and are quiet. Trunk space is very limited so you may need to put stuff in the rear seat. Smaller folk should be able to access the rear seat, but adults will find it difficult to enter and exit. The rear visibility is limited.

Its not a G35! - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Farhad - August 16 - 9:20 amThis is my 8th Nissan. I have had Sentras, Maximas, 350z and my last car, Nissan Murano which I traded with this car and I regret it. I have had this car for over a year and most disappointing is the interior. Very poor quality and cheap materials. Have you seen the interior of Hyundais? Much better quality. I had the car in at the dealership several times to fix squeaking sound caused by moonroof. The dashboard squeaks on rough roads, the back part of headliner is coming apart and passenger seat belt rattles occasionally, tires are lousy on snow and so is the fat wiper blades. The exterior and performance and all the gadgets are great. I have the fully loaded version.

Altima Quality Car for the Price - 2008 Nissan Altima
By kdc - August 8 - 1:26 pmI have a 9 year old Nissan Maxima that I recently gave to my son. Only has 160,000 miles on it. I purchased in its place a 2008 Nissan Altima with the SL Package. So far with 2800 miles I am very well satisfied. Doesnt curb as well as the Maxima but for the difference in the Price, I can live with it. Im getting about 30 miles to the gallon on average.

Altima - 2008 Nissan Altima
By PhilU - August 3 - 11:03 amHave had my Altima a little over two months. No major complaints. Im coming out of a dodge charger so the ride is no way near as smooth. I began to experience a little rattling somewhere in cabin, Im going to take it in for that. I cant stand rattles and squeaks. Fit and finish is great compared to pre 2007 models. Ride isnt as smooth as my 03 2.5 S altima.

Fun & Comfort - 2008 Nissan Altima
By daveton - July 17 - 11:06 amThe car drives very smooth, the CVT is amazing. Surprising acceleration for a 4 cyl. The SL package, though expensive, comes with everything one could ask for. The controls are well placed and easy to use. Tons of storage space in trunk and lots of small hidden storage places inside the car. Excellent car!
