Love it, Love it, Love it!!! - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Vicious - May 30 - 8:00 amIve had my car for about two months and its been nothing but fun. Ive driven it around the city and taken it for a trip from Virginia Beach, VA to Pittsburgh, PA and back. The cars got zip and is so much fun to drive. For awhile during my trip back to VA Beach, I was getting 41 mpg, that is until I got stuck for 3.5 hours in DC for rush hour. I still ended up with 34 mpg overall. Im very happy with my investment and being a Nissan, Im sure it will last me for quite some time.

Dream Car - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Charlene - May 24 - 1:20 pmI had previously sold this vehicle and fell in love with the features and reliability. I finally was able to purchase one, drives like a dream with the get up and go of a 2006 Maxima (I know). This vehicle is so smooth to drive and handles good at excessive speeds, even around turns. Definitely worth every penny, and a total head turner, Altima has out-done itself yet again. The only thing I have found that is hard to get used to is the CVT, it sounds weird accelerating.

Just Bought Dream Car - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Big Bear - April 29 - 2:16 amI just bought my Altima today and love it. My wife preferred a Camry but she doesnt appreciate the better handling of the Altima like I do. It has a slight vibration at low speeds but the dealership assures me it is the tires having flat spots from sitting in the lot so long. It did seem to get better today as I drove 85 miles. I simply LOVE the car. I am 60 and it is the best all around car I have ever owned - quiet at all speeds, comfortable, very economical (if I can believe the instantaneous mileage readout) and gorgeous. Nissan hit a home run with this one. I got the Jade Green color with Blond interior and love it. The AC is superb and I absolutely LOVE the handling and CVT.

Great improvement - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Marc - April 24 - 7:40 amI purchased my 2008 Nissan Altima in April 2008. It has been a great car thus far, fun to drive and handles well. I love the push button start the most, you cant be the opts for a 2.5 S. Previously, I owned a 2006 Altima but it was totaled in an accident. The new Altima improvements are noticeable and you would think they would be in a more expensive car.

Solid, Reliable Choice - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Robert Schoell - April 9 - 11:36 pmThis is a very solid, reliable choice, and excellent value for money. Ive enjoyed one year of problem-free, comfortable driving. The leather package is well worth getting, as it comes with a lot of impressive standard features (e.g. auto-dim mirrors, power seats). This is a great multi-functional car.

Curiosity - 2008 Nissan Altima
By anasity - April 3 - 9:23 amI have just purchased this vehicle within the last week. It hasnt quite been a week yet. Ive only driven it around the city and have yet to test it out on the road. So far I like the way it feels when driving. The ride is smooth. I love the exterior design and the quality seems to be good. As far as the reliability, I will have reserve comments on that for now. I am satisfied with the interior design as well.

altima issues - 2008 Nissan Altima
By islander12 - March 27 - 12:45 pmAny issues that I have have with my 2009 Altima i just had to google and found them very quickly online. Three issues, Push start, transmission and leak in the moon roof all were listed as a problem. Nissan covered all repairs except for the moonroof. Disappointing because only had 36000 miles as of 2012 and bought the car based on consumer reports.

Transmission needs to know me? - 2008 Nissan Altima
By kmp - March 12 - 2:00 amHas anyone heard this one? I bought my altima coupe new & it rode well for about a year--no probs. Now the transmission vibrates at 25-40 mph, & getting worse. The dealer tells me the transmission needs to adjust to my style of driving-that they may need to reset it to the factory setting and let it "learn my style of driving."this sounds like bs to me! Also, the car keeps telling me I have no key, & the car wont start w/the push button. Ive gone through umpteen batteries in the last few months. I can put in a new battery today, & tomorrow the car will tell me my key has no battery. Very frustrating! The dealer tells me they are "going back & forth w/Nissan" & will let me know.

Drive train awful - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Teal - March 12 - 2:00 am2 sets of bearings, one tranny failure (so far), constant brake noise. Probably the least reliable vehicle I have ever owned at the age of 63 and I owned some junkers as a kid. Get the car back tomorrow after another 4 days at the dealer service. Trading it this weekend on non-Nissan product.
