This Year's Model Updates:

Although it maintains much of its chassis architecture, the 2010 Mazda 3 is otherwise an all-new car. Highlights include revised exterior styling, improved fuel economy and power, a more modern interior design and new luxury-oriented features.

Pros:
  • Athletic handling and performance, high-end interior, unparalleled available luxury features, available hatchback utility.
Cons:
  • Ride may be too firm for some, interior and trunk not as large as those of competitors.

  • I love my Hatchie! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

This little beast is fun to drive! I was previously driving a SUV and its nice to drive a zippy, responsive and sexy vehicle. No more soccer mom for me I have upgraded to Cougar! In all seriousness this car has the speed to pass fast and safe as well as smooth and quiet when you are not dare deviling. The only thing I dont like is that the vehicle feels floaty at higher speeds (130+ km/h). I suspect this being due to lightness of the vehicle. You can also feel her move when there are high winds on the road.

I was looking for a less expensive car to replace my C-class and came down to the Mazda3 or the Acura TSX. Ultimately the Mazda was more fun to drive, but with a less refined interior, for a much lower lease payment. The 5 speed transmission is every bit as brilliant as the MB 7- speed, and shifts a lot quicker in manual mode. The engine is a bit coarse, but low end torque is impressive. Most importantly, the car wants to be tossed through corners. The interior is a bit busy, especially the redundant stereo controls and the outer vents that could have been integrated much more seamlessly into the dash. I like the black exterior (hides the grin a bit) with tan leather.

MSRP+Moon/Bose+Tech Pack= 22,080 Amount Paid:20,300+T/T Compared with Honda Si, Civic, 2009 Mazda Speed3. More power than my old civic & about the same as an Si minus the scream of vtec. Much less power than MS3 but much better gas mileage. Uses regular gas! Have had acceleration that was anticlimatic & also accel that put you back in your seat. DSC perhaps? Some pretty large blind spots compared with my old civic. Better than the old models though. Not enough for a dealbreaker. Saw this in a lot when it just came in. Bought it at 15mi on odo. I put at least 8 of them on with 2 test drives. Inquire about it online before you go to a dealer. Much better prices.

  • Fun but hurts - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

This is a Great little car cant ask for more for what you get. I am 62" the seat is a little small for me but thats my fault I should of went for a longer test drive the gas mileage is off the best I have got so far is 30.16 mpg the worst is 24.86 I drive interstate only the same way day in and day out I have just over 10,000 miles now and two oil changes. I think if I got the 2.0 with the power seats I would be more happy with the seat but my other car was an Infiniti with a 12 way power seat. the car is fun to drive and I have got use to the seat great part I can sit in the back seat just fine and my head does not touch the roof as a driver or rear passenger. spend the extra 1k for power.

  • Fun to drive good looking sedan - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I drove an 2006 Mazda 3 iTouring for about three years before buying my 2010 3s. This car definitely steps up the included features without doing much to the price. For under 20K you get a lot of power and a good feature set vs Honda, Toyota, etc. The ride is actually a bit louder than before but overall this is the same car I loved in 2006 with more features and refinements.

Before buying this car, I spent hours upon hours reading reviews and doing research. Some reviewers complained of excess road noise, bose sound lacking bass, cheap interior materials, etc... Im telling you, do not pay attention to these people. The Mazda 3 GT is a luxury car for those of us on a budget. I could not be happier with this car. If you are having doubts about buying one, take the GT for a test drive and youll find your answer.

  • No keyless entry or alarm - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
    By -

If you want keyless entry and alarm upgrade to the turing model. If you are considering getting a mazda3, consider getting the model above the i sport. Overall, this is a really good car. Only other issues so far is this noise on the passenger side of the car, not sure what it is but will take it back to the dealership to have it checked out.

  • In love with this car!! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
    By -

I absolutely love this car. It handles great, its nice and compact but still has plenty of room, its stylish, quick, and gets pretty good gas mileage which is great since I travely about 300 miles per week just going to and from work.

  • Just a rental by an 04 Mazda 6 V6 owner - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
    By -

Rented a new 3 on a biz trip. This car didnt appear to be very heavily optioned, but I was surprised at how peppy it was. Interstate ride VERY smooth and quiet, just a little wind noise from driver door weatherstripping. Great sound system, great AC.

  • Good Value - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
    By -

Overall a good value, Great styling and sporty, just hate the road noise, keep the radio up loud. very noisy on uneven pavement. Suspension on bumps is horrible. Would rather have bought German, vw or bmw, this car very light and tinny. Paint quality not great, chips easy. Had an 08 sedan, salesman told me it would be quieter? oh well, will have to live with it for a few years.Yes, there are many features that you will love. If they put in more insulation and better suspension they will have a superior product.
