This Year's Model Updates:

Although it maintains much of its chassis architecture, the 2010 Mazda 3 is otherwise an all-new car. Highlights include revised exterior styling, improved fuel economy and power, a more modern interior design and new luxury-oriented features.

Pros:
  • Athletic handling and performance, high-end interior, unparalleled available luxury features, available hatchback utility.
Cons:
  • Ride may be too firm for some, interior and trunk not as large as those of competitors.

  • The straight dirt - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Bought the Mazda3 simply because it was great on mileage, something my Jeep Liberty wasnt. On a full tank of gas, which is about 375 miles in the Mazda, Im saving $50 every time I fill up. Its a much smaller vehicle, granted, but thats a huge difference. And as fun as the Jeep was to drive, this is close, and thats saying something. Its quick, its stylish and comfortable enough. I looked at every other car in its class, and the Mazda3 not only looks better and got better ratings but its cheaper overall than all of them. Like many other small cars, it has its drawbacks. Its a tight car, but trunk space is good. But id definitely recommend it.

  • Great buy! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Originally was going to buy a 3 but upgraded to the itouring and it was a wise decision. This car is a solid performer and since purchasing it new, only regular mainenance has been done and no warranty work has been necessary. I have owned full size SUVs and was surprised to see what I can load in this Mazda with the rear seats folded down. it has a wide opening when the truck is opened up. I enjoy going to manual shift and pushing this vehicle to the limits on tight turns. This car has a very good feel for the road and fun to drive. The cabin tends to be a bit noise at highway speeds but the stereo can automatically adjust the volume to changing speeds which is a nice option.

  • Good Choice! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Ive had the car car for one week now. Very impressed with it so far. 1st tank of gas got 27.5 mpg (mostly city). The next tank was a true all-highway trip and I got 34.5 mpg. So far, so good! Not even broken in yet. Tilt/telescoping wheel can interfere with speedo/tach if adjusted to how I would ultimately like it; have had to adjust my seating position to work around this. Seems like some tire noise compared to my old 98 cavalier.

  • No more Hondas after driving this car - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

This car is great. Smooth ride for a smaller car, nice and zippy. Getting 27mph combined and hopefully better after a few thousand break-in miles.I have been a Honda guy forever, but this car beats any Honda I have driven. Good choice if you like a quick car that has some cargo space and better than average gas mileage.I was impressed with the suspension, soft for a smaller car, with a Honda you feel every little crack on the road.Love it!

  • Blurry Window - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
    By -

My rear window is blurry as if there were plastic across it, and really can be noticed with ultra violet rays. My dealer agreed with me and checked on another vehicle and verified that was the same way. It is very annoying especially in heavy traffic when you constantly need to check through your rear view mirror. God bless you if you get migraines, it is actually painful. What about the safety factor, it is not a clear window. Where do I go from here, let me know your thoughts.

  • Practical with style and handling - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Its so easy to get in and drive. Mine has the Bose/tech package with moonroof. I didnt need the nav so the smallish screen doesnt bother me. Bluetooth hands free operation is easy and the media console is well laid out for use. The stereo beats that of my former 2007 G35. Im averaging 26.8 in mixed driving with high-octane gas. Rear seats fold flat and hatch hide cover removes easily to really load it up when you need to. I hauled a full sized mountain bike in their and only had to move the passenger seat forward a bit. Everything works. It brakes effectively and its generally a quiet ride at any speed. My 510" son fits in back with a couple inches to spare. Hard to beat the value.

  • How is a car this cheap this good - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
    By -

I have had six - yes, six - Mazda 3s. All were manuals. Four were 3i and two 3s. 5 sedans and now this 2010 3s hatchback. There are not enough superlatives to describe how this car drives. Not a better manual tranny/clutch combo on the planet for cars under 40 grand. Definitely, the best car for the buck Ive run into in my lifetime and Im 62. One can only remark: "How can a car this good be so cheap." Buy this car for the suspension, the tranny, the clutch, the brakes, the steering, the handling, the cornering and to heck with everything else - it doesnt matter. thats enough! All one need do is upgrade the tires and you have an econo-box supercar.

  • Zoom Zoom 2.5L Style - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
    By -

Coming from a mid-size V-6 sedan I was concerned if I would be able to adjust to a smaller car w/ 4-cyl engine. After 7 weeks and 1500 miles I have no more worries about this. The front seats are comfortable and will be fine for most people as long as youre not too tall or heavy. The rear seats are only good for SMALL people or pets. This car has a lot of bang for the buck--tight build quality, well balanced ride, lots of features and good quality materials throughout the vehicle. It looks more expensive than it is--especially the "s" models with the 2.5L engine which have upgraded interior and exterior materials and features.

I have always wanted a Mazda 3....when the 2010s came out, I knew I had to had one and finally yesterday we bought it!!!!! So far, I LOVE it! Its cute and fun to drive! I got the sunroof and Bose package and I think it was well worth it!

  • Great car - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I was never a huge fan of Mazda but when I got this car I really loved it. It worked well and was very reliable, no maintenance at the 100,000km mark (except regular maintenance of course), however it doesnt have a lot of power, I notice theres a bit of a delay from when I press the gas peddle into when it picks up, I never had this on my Toyota Echo.. but all in all I think this car is great for anyone upgrading from a smaller car. They will be pleasently surprised how much it has to offer. Car came with Moon roof/AC/ Power Windows / CD/Bluetooth combo. I only wish the turning would be a bit more tight, but it does turn well.. just not quite well enough..
