While I dont understand any of the negative reviews, I guess there are exceptions to everything. After test driving many other manufacturers, we went back to Kia knowing what we were getting. This car is more comfortable than any of the Hondas, Hyundais, Toyota, Ford and Chevys. It drives really smooth, notice absolutely no problems with shifting gears, the interior and dash is extremely functional, lots of room and the extra storage in the back is great. I question some of the other reviews and their problems... I wouldnt base my decision on them to buy this vehicle. And the $19600 out the door (all taxes, tag, ect included) definitely helped, considering it was $28k sticker!

I wanted to buy a Sorento several years ago but was unsure because Kia wasnt established. I sure am glad I didnt wait any longer. My Sorento has been fantastic. I just went on vacation and we had plenty of room in storage and middle row. I drive almost all highway and the gas mileage has been wonderful.I have been getting around 27-28 mpg. I know that is still short of what they say it should get but Im not disappointed considering the size and weight of vehicle. My wife is due for a new car soon and we will be looking at the 2011 Optima. Good job Kia.

  • Great New CUV - GET ONE! - 2011 Kia Sorento

After walking out of one extra-mark-up-hugging dealer ($2000) struck a reasonable deal with a smarter dealer. The vehicle is really a great value for the price right around $30K. Ours has the Limited/Premium II package with most of the bells and whistles. Ride is quiet and comfortable. Handling and road feel via the rack & pinion steering is very competitive for the class. It is roomy and thoughtfully laid out with plenty of cargo space (we dont use the third row seat). The V6 supplies more than enough power and torque. Fuel economy is competitive. We love the panoramic sun roof. We are very happy with the car. Kia has hit a home run and its BUILT IN AMERICA! Bravo Kia!

Well 700 miles on 1st trip on freeways. 19.5 mpg local 30 mpg @60 mph 26 mpg @ 70 mpg with 39 psi tire pressure. Tracking not too good. I blame this on the Kumho tires as I had the same problem with a T&C van when I put Kumho tires on front. A possible bad strut shock on right side that is noisy on around town on little bumps. Dealer could find nothing wrong. Will try another dealer later. Some sharp corners on doors that Kia should sand down before painting. The chrome bezels around instrument cluster, had to put tape to cover them as the sun was blinding when it reflected off them. The red colored information displays are hard to read and should not be able to be adjusted with dimmer

I formally had a 04 Mercury Mountaineer, loved the vehicle, hated the mpg (12-14, on a good day.) We decided on a Kia Sorento, so far its great. Driving it home on the interstate it was a smooth ride with mpg at 27-28 with only 40 miles on it. City driving I am averaging about 24.4-25.6. Seats are comfortable, dashboard is laid out great. I wish I had held out for an EX but apparently they are very hard to get with 4 cylinder engine. However we got a such a great deal on it this model, I can hardly complain. Kia has a special this month for their extend 10 year warranty Complete wrap for an additional 1300.

  • 4 month update Kia Sorento EX AWD V6 - 2011 Kia Sorento

Have had my Kia Sorento EX AWD V6 since March. Now 4 months later and 5000 miles, am still very impressed! 3 adults traveled 2500 miles with stops all over New England area and the Sorento was FANTASTIC. 23.2 MPG even going through NYC and NJ freeways jammed up traffic. Voice activated Navigation was wonderful and my favorite option was bluetooth phone linked to my nav screen with touch screen button to call hotel look up. AWESOME! This is a GREAT BUY and is now made mostly in U.S.A. Recommend this SUV. We traded in a 2007 Mazda CX-9 Grand touring fully loaded and only thing we are missing in the Kia is HID headlights and rear climate control.

This is a peach! My health precludes me to purchase a new car for my wife. She is short and has difficulty seeing over the hood, other wise I would keep the car. She will be most of the future driving. This is a great car!

Everyday I like this car more and more, I am getting 25.9MPG, and there is so much room! We got the third row thinking we wouldnt use it too much, but it would be nice to have. We I have used it a ton! And I can sit comfortably in between my 1 and 2 years car seats in the second row! Which is great for long trips when I need to sit back there to help them out with eating or stuff. We drove to Disney and Texas already! It did great. I killed the battery when I left the lights on one night, roadside assistance was GREAT! 35mins and they were there to jump me, free of charge! I highly recommend this car, my parents have a Lexus and they love my Kia.

It`s a great vehicle, my last car was a Rav4 with full equipment, My Kia doesnt have all extras , but are small things that make your car cost more. I suggest Toyota or Nissan owners to trust kia, I feel safer and it doesnt make so much noise as my last Toyota. Im delighted about the features this car has , its fun to drive
