  • 5k mile update - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

Zero reliability problems after 5k miles and mileage slowly improving. Only complaint is occasional loss of satellite signal. Re: mileage, if you actually set cruise control at 65 mph and inflate tires to spec, it really does get 28-29 mpg. Of course, i usually drive 75 mph, then its 24.5. Some minor suspension noise on uneven roads, mostly from right front side - but maybe other Sorentos have it worse b/c mine really isnt bad, and still quieter than any Honda. Nice firm ride and great handling is a trade-off Ill accept over floaty ride of RAV4. Road noise on good roads VERY low. No rattles in this car whatsoever and size is just right - easy to park in town, big enough for stuff/people

  • Georgia and Drivers win with this KIA - 2011 Kia Sorento

I just took delivery of the 2011 Kia Sorento and if the price doesnt make you smile the car will. I loved the aggressive lines, size and exterior features that made this redesign stand out as the newest competitor on the block. I bought the LX in Titanium Silver with black cloth interior and the Convenience Package. This $1,000 package gave me a lot of extras such as a color back-up camera, back-up sensors, heated seats, fog lights and a roof rack. This is just where the extras start considering the inside is packed full of the latest technology from blue tooth in the steering wheel to a jack for every elctronic I own. If I had to shop for a car all over again Sorento would win again.

  • Great Vehicle at a Great Value - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

I purchased my Kia Sorento in July of 2011 and I have had zero problems with it. I use it to commute to work and back 90 miles round trip and have logged over 50,000 miles on it. I have tested the AWD in Sandy beaches and it did not dissapoint. The gas mileage had been good at around 25-27 hwy and 22-24 city. I have been very satisfied with this vehicle overall. I have had to change the tires due to the everyday driving commute and replaced the Kuhmo tires with Brigdgestone Dueler HTs with a more aggresive tread.

  • Loved 2010 Soul/Amazed by 2011 Sporento - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

I bought 2 Kias last year, a used 2009 Spectra for my son, and new Soul for me. Both are great cars. No problems. When the 2011 Sorento came out, it was a no brainer - I traded my sweet little Soul in and upgraded to the top of the line Sorento V6, and I am in heaven! The Sorento is AWESOME! I am sold on KIA. My Toyota/Honda friends are still shocked and dumbfounded at the incredible cars KIA is making! PS - I traded a Toyota Solara for the SOUL last year, and once I got a taste of KIA quality, all that space, bluetooth, satelite radio, etc, I was sold! PS - the Sorento V6 is definitely worth the loss of a couple of miles per gallon of gasoline over any V4!

  • Update after 10k miles and 7 mos. - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

Update on my Sorento. The Sorento has lost a little luster since new. I have yet to experience the common strut noise, however if anyone has a rattle noise coming from driver side roof area, remove the left rear grab handle on roof and see if it goes away. Worked for me. HVAC blower fan bearing is making noise now. Just installed a trailer hitch. With only four bolts, twenty minutes later I was done. Mileage continues to impress as engine breaks in. So far so good, I am starting to wonder if the Borrego would have been a better choice.

  • Really Good Car - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

This car has plenty of legroom and headroom for me, 6-6". Handles very well, although the ride is a little stiff. I bought mine without the third row seats. That gives me a nice cargo area with storage under the floor where I can stow all the miscellaneous stuff that usually ends up scattered all over the car. The six speed transmission is the best automatic transmission Ive ever driven and the four cylinder engine has plenty of power. Gas mileage is around 23.5 mpg around town. Its a company car and gets driven lots of short haul trips.

  • Great Features, But MPG Concerns - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

Was a little concerned about buying a car for my 15 yr old daughter not knowing the safety ratings yet, but was told by my salesperson that it was right up there with the other Kia models so I bought it. The CUV has all the features one could want and then some. From heated leather seats to the back-up camera, I did not get the nav. so that little picture in the rearview mirror can be a little distracting. I was concerned also with the MPG after the first tank only avgd 19 mpg on a 4 cyl but was told after calling the dealership that it would improve with more miles (god I hope so)I drive between 55 and 60 mph with very little city driving all the time. It drives very good and no rattles.

Auto handles well like safety features ride good solid body and good on long trips and dont tire you out.

  • Very Impresive - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

Extremely impressed with the vehicle and all the base options that came with it, heated seats, back up camera, 3 rows of seats, 17 inch wheels. It drives over bumps more like a truck, but around corners is amazing. The ground clearance is just as good as my old jeep. I think they know they built a good product especially by backing it with a full bumper to bumper 100/10 warranty. I love this vehicle.

  • Extrememly Pleased - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

Bought the EX V-6 August 18th. Have approx. 1600 miles on it. Love everything about my Sorento. It is black with black leather. Originally looked at the Equinox and decided Kia was a better fit for me. I just felt more comfortable in it compared to the other. Love the leather seats, panoramic sunroof, fit, finish, and comfort. Mileage has been around 22 mpg and thats just beebopping from here to there, not many highway miles yet. Has everything I wanted at a reasonable price. Now notice there is an SX line and a couple new colors. Would have liked to had the choice to go with an SX but still would have chosen my EX.
