Overview & Reviews
An AM/FM/CD stereo and a tilt steering wheel are now standard on all 2004 Jeep Wrangler models. A new aluminum wheel design is standard on Sahara models and optional on Sport models. Right-hand-drive versions are also available for fleet utility service. A Columbia Edition option package is also new for 2004.
- Cheap, fun to drive, classic styling, go-anywhere capability.
- Soft top a handful to manipulate, difficult ingress-egress, slow steering, bouncy suspension on the street.

04 Sport 5-speed - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By JRod - March 22 - 10:00 amPositives. Ive never owned a convertable and you CAN NOT beat going topless in a Wrangler. It zips around town with ease once you get used to it being a bit bumpy. Ive yet to take it off-road so I cant comment on it just yet. Negatives. I drive about 80 miles (90% e-way) a day and this is my only vehicle. Now, Im pretty rugged and outdoorsy but this isnt a e-way car. They tend to be blown around quite a bit and seem to get a bit squirlie above 65-70mph. Ive also got issues with the tranny. When the vehicle is running and the tranny is in neutral it sounds like a couple marbles rolling around. The tranny is also clunky and doesnt shift smoothly.

Rubi-Rocks! - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By JBro - December 21 - 10:00 amI LOVE this vehicle! Ive been in Wranglers before, but NEVER one like this! This vehicle is DEFINATELY for the more adventurous driver. Would recommend it to ANYONE! I was in an accident, hit by another driver - her fault, and man did those tires survive a beating! The wheel fenders took the impact, saving me from being smashed in by my drivers side door. I believe the Rubi saved my life!

Whyd I Wait So Long? - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By Chad - November 18 - 12:53 pmI love my Jeep. I bought it in June 2005 with only 6k miles. So far Im at 15k with no problems so far. Road manners are much better than I ever expected. Not nearly as loud as I thought it would be, especially with the hard top on. Not the most roomy and practical vehicle on the planet but then again who buys a Wrangler for space, fuel economy, or practicality. Its a lot of fun to drive & customization options are endless with all the aftermarket items available for Jeeps.

i dont know about this... - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By D - November 9 - 3:06 amIm going to be accosted for this but... I hate driving this thing, it is in perfect condition and all but it is HELL on the highway! You feel like the wind is going to take you and flip you over and It has almost happened a few times. It wont move in snow unless its in 4X4. Dont get caught in a snow storm on the highway because driving in 4wd on the highway is scary also. Overall its a very dangerous vehicle if you do a lot of highway driving. The newer ones address those problems and its not as bad but do be careful, and choose wisely if you are going to drive this on the highway. Also my local dealer is full of scammers and traveling salesman.

Love my Wrangler! - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By thill21 - October 3 - 2:45 pmThis jeep is awesome. My only complaints are that it is slow to pick up speed, limited cargo space, and interior could be designed more modernly perhaps with an aux input factory installed. It is fun and easy to drive. Handles well in the mud, snow, ice, rain, etc. The floors have plugs you can take out if you leave your top down and it gets rained in. Its super easy to clean the interior if it gets wet or muddy. So far, ive had to replace my timing belt and gas sensor. other than that, i havent had any problems out of mine.

Rubicon - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By brdhntr - August 20 - 4:23 pmThis is a highly capable off road vehicle that takes command of the situation. The ride and handling characteristics are what one should expect of a true off road vehicle. This vehicle is highly impractical for anything other than fun. But fun is what I bought it for!

love this thang - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By pigpants - April 9 - 10:00 amYou cant kill it and you cant hurt it. It is a go-anywhere-anytime vehicle and it never complains. If it rains and the top is down so it fills up with a few inches of water, just pull the plug, let the water out, then go on about your business.
