I bought this as a second car; primarily for the snow, sun and fun. I expect my son will be driving this vehicle in the past so I also consider safety, roll-over and fun. The jeep itself is larger inside than I expected for the driver and front passenger. It is tight in the back and there is very limited trunk space, but it still works for me.

Great Vehicle. Used to drive only Toyotas, but found them expensive to repair, insure and drive that I decided to switch to an American Make. Am an avid outdoorsman and found the Toyota to be less capable of handeling the outdoors, the Jeep handles anything you throuw at it. Best buy I have made to date.

I have just finished the break-in period (300 miles) and it definetly seems quieter and smoother than the standard wrangler. The gas mileage is going to be hard to get use to since my last ride was a 4 cyl Ford Ranger. I opted with only the 4 speakers instead of 7 and Im satisfied with the sound. It is a fun ride and Im enjoying it tremendously. I will write an update after more time on and off the road.

I am happy with the Wrangler. That being said, I knew what to expect from this vehicle and I live in an area where there are plenty of places to take it off-road and sometimes our weather here makes having a 4x4 a definite advantage as well. If you want a vehicle that can take you to and from work or to the store and you live in the city, then the Wrangler probably isnt for you. However, if you want a fun versatile vehicle that is reliable and can haul and tow and get you unstuck from places that other SUVs wont dare to venture, then you may want to consider it. For the small price difference, consider the Unlimited. It has more room and better towing capacity and road manners as well.

  • Too much fun! - 2004 Jeep Wrangler

The Unlimited is smooth and suprisingly quiet on the highway, The soft top is super quiet and provides a whole lot more options for taking the top off. Ive been getting about 18.5 MPG average. I have read reviews that suggest this Jeep isnt for long trips, but I beg to differ. Other than gas mileage, this Jeep is as smooth as most any other SUV on the market. (with the soft top on and windows up)

I use the jeep for a lot of trips to places where the four wheel drive is required, i.e. death valley, anza borrego ect. I love my Jeep and have owned a series of five of them over the last decade. The wrangler is relatively inexpensive with premier off road ability, it sacrifices in the comfort area. If comfort and good off road ability is what you want, look at the jeep grand cherokee and stay away from the BMW X-5 and Mercedes M class!!

If you are looking for a fun car to get you from a to b or just looking for a car you can mess around with, the wrangler is the Jeep for you, There are many aftermarket parts to customize the wrangler to who you are.

I love my Jeep. The Khaki is awsome! LOve the ride. HATE the gas eco. what are they thinking. MOST OF ALL shop around and be picky. South Point in AUSTIN is not the place to buy, they are very sneaky and try to ri[p you off at every angle. I have lots of car buying experience being an auto buying and they were a great challange for me. But the Jeep itsself is great. Go with hard top the soft tops rot pretty quick and are noisey. Besides the hard top you can take off and throw on a bikini top.

  • Best Jeep Ever !!! - 2004 Jeep Wrangler

Went to dealership with my mother and we was going to purchase 2 of these new Unlimiteds, thought buying 2 of them we could get some kind of a deal...WRONG!! Salesman said the best I can do is sticker price so he lost 2 cash sales. I went to the Chevy dealer in the same auto mall and got a new Monte Carlo LS. My mother got her Unlimited and is very happy with it and Im happy for her. I loved it myself but not that much.
