im having transfer case problems at 451 miles out of the dealer. aft drive shaft, and speed sensor seal. been waiting a week to get the parts. ive read several reviews with the same problem. havnt even taken it off road yet, just to and from work. t case was nearly out of fluid, jeep wont replace it, thats great customer service for ya. i can only hope this is the last time i have problems, or ill just let that t case leak all the way down until it burns up, then theyll be getting me one.

When I purchased my Jeep everyone worried I would suffer from buyers remorse since it was such a big change from my Honda Civic EX 4 door. I love this car and cant wait to go driving in it. It handles much better then any Jeep I have ever driven and I still smile when I get behind the wheel. I wouldnt trade it in for anything.

Besides my 04 Rubicon I also have a 2000 Sport 5m. Both have dual tops. The 2000 gets 17 mpg the Rubicon gets 12 MPG. I drive both the same. Its time to bring out the turbo diesel 4 cyl and see what it can do. Dont get me wrong I would buy it again. But like others my 3/4 ton chevy 4X4 gets 17 mpg. I am headed to Moab next week Ill see how it holds up.

I have changed the suspension system by lifting my jeep 2 1/2 inches with a rancho lift system. The stock suspension system was a hard ride and this lift heped soften it upas well as give more clearance for off roading, my intial purpose for this ride. I have not had any major problems with any systems on this vehicle. It has been a great ride both on and off road. I have been able go places that I would not go with anything less than a 4 wheel drive with locks could go.

I really enjoy driving the Rubicon. It performs well for my daily commute and is civilized on the road, given its off road capabilities. Off road this machine is absolutly top notch. I have taken it through the "Gap" in the Catalina Mountains outside of Tucson, a 4+ rated trail, and it pulled right through. The Rubicon climbed through the boulders like a goat, (the lockers are great), and had plenty of power for the steep ascents on rock faces. Wound up breaking a wheel, but that happens in the rocks. I forgot to air down the tires. I did add a winch, rock sliders, tube bumpers and a K & N air filter. Over all very satsified.

  • I love my Jeep...kinda - 2004 Jeep Wrangler

Its got just about every disadvantage going for it. Mediocre to poor gas mileage (especially for a vehicle this small), bumpy/bouncy ride, noisier than a motorcycle, no cargo space, not a highway car AT ALL...despite all those things..its got one huge ADVANTAGE...ITS FUN AS HELL TO DRIVE.

Had Vette convertibles for many years, and the Ruby is just as much fun to drive. Jeeps and Vettes both have the "wave". Can go many places offroad in 2wd, that in other vehicles you would need to be in 4wd. Just a FUN vehicle.

My new Rubicon almost immediately destroyed my life - my wife, and oldest son were constantly trying to take it away from me. I broke down and bought a second Wrangler for them to fight over - a 2003 Sport. I bought my first Jeep back in 1977. They have sure come a long way since then. Both my Jeeps are hard tops - they are asy to remove and the heater and A/C both work better. Gas mileage is unjustifiably poor - the excuses dont cut it. My bigger, heavier Suburban with a much bigger engine gets better mileage than either one of the Jeeps and there is nothing aerodynamic about a Suburban. Expect 15-17 TOPS!

  • Great car... - 2004 Jeep Wrangler

I recently purchased a jeep wrangler, and its definitely the most fun car I have ever driven. The manual 6 cyl has lots of power, great pickup, and the ride is smooth. It sits high above the road, so you see pretty much everything. The only bad part about the jeep is that the ride can be a bit noisy, and unless you buy it new, its difficult to find a decently priced wrangler with air conditioning. All of these negatives are easily overshadowed by the positives of the car.
