Overview & Reviews
With an all-new model scheduled for '05, there are few changes for the 2004 Ford Mustang. All models wear commemorative 40th anniversary exterior badging, while V6 and GT models can be ordered with a full 40th anniversary package that includes additional exterior and interior enhancements.
- Available V8 power, variety of trim levels, healthy dose of American attitude.
- Archaic underpinnings, cheap interior materials, choppy ride.

40th year for Mustang - 2004 Ford Mustang
By J.D. Lugnutt - June 15 - 11:26 pmHas very peppy accelleration, good braking if not great, handles like its on rails, has fiberglass Deck-lid and hood and rear spoiler, 16" aluminum wheels. I did install a dual exhaust system with dual catalyst 2" pipes and my gas mileage went up by 3-MPG city and almost 7-mpg hwy. No joke it made a big difference, with the factory style headers it has always been dependable, never let us down.. and at 26-28 mpg hwy. Im a happy camper, And I would for sure buy another one when this one is worn out. Great little sporty car!

My Dream Car - 2004 Ford Mustang
By ddonner641 - June 11 - 10:00 amThis is everything a Mustang should be. We are a huge Ford family. We have never owned anything else. But, even if we werent, I would drive a Mach I Mustang. This rivals any sports car on the road.

By Louis Michels - June 11 - 10:00 amEven though i didnt or havent driven one, my experiance in one was pretty awesome. Especially if that person your riding with knows how to drive it. It has great handling and its acceleration is awesome also. I hope to own one in the near future and possible the 2005 model when it comes out.

1 mach 1 - 2004 Ford Mustang
By CheapShots - June 11 - 10:00 amI am a 62 year old man who always wanted a Mustang and I finally got one. Its the 2004 Mach 1 Mustang and it is a joy to drive. I only drive it on sunny days.the rest of the time it sits in my garage it has never been rained on. This car handles the road like a sports car should.you get a lot of good quality and performance at a good price in the Mach 1.

Ford Reinvents the American Muscle Car - 2004 Ford Mustang
By butchguy - June 11 - 10:00 amAs a a guy who grew up in the 60s American cars have, for along time, been a major disappointment! It seems all the American manufacturers could produce was Japanese wannabes. Then enter the new Mustang! Wow! What a trip. Thats a real car. The sound of that thobbing engine and the rush at takeoff. Man thats a true Muscle car in the finest of American tradition. This is the first Ford bought in my family in three generations. So far it beats anything GM could even dream about. So long GTO and GP. This car even makes the old Corvette look kind of ordinary!
