Overview & Reviews
With an all-new model scheduled for '05, there are few changes for the 2004 Ford Mustang. All models wear commemorative 40th anniversary exterior badging, while V6 and GT models can be ordered with a full 40th anniversary package that includes additional exterior and interior enhancements.
- Available V8 power, variety of trim levels, healthy dose of American attitude.
- Archaic underpinnings, cheap interior materials, choppy ride.

Fun car to drive and look at - 2004 Ford Mustang
By Dorrie - December 10 - 10:00 amIve loved Mustangs since I was a kid. Loved the first Mach 1s and already own a 98 coupe. My husband recently bought me a 04 convertible and I love this car. The exterior design is classy and the interior is plush. I have to say the under carriage is a bit stiff and creaks on bumpy roads, but out on the open road it handles very well.

Ford did it right - 2004 Ford Mustang
By SilverSnake - December 10 - 10:00 amThe 03/04 SVT Cobra Mustang is a docile car under normal driving, get on the gas and the car just flat out scoots. The handling is much improved over the previous Mustangs & Cobras. The interior is basically the same since 94 save for the seats, which are well bolstered (maybe even too much). When I purchased my first Mustang, a 1998 Mustang GT, the saleman told me once you own a Mustang, youll always have one. He was right and this is my 3rd Mustang since then and the Cobra is above and beyond the shoulders of the GT. My words give the car no justice, go test drive one and dont be scared to lay into the throttle a little bit.

Bang For The Buck - 2004 Ford Mustang
By bang4thebuck - December 10 - 10:00 amIve had several new Porschs, Bmws. Vintage Jags, Masarati, This mustang will be my teenage daughters first car in 3 years I love this lil car it is fun to drive, the rag top is a good rush and its for cheap for what you get the bang for the buck is good. Its smooth on the highway-I have the 6 cyl (so my daugher doesnt have over the top HP) it cruizes at 80+ smooth and easy. I read the editors negative comments on the interior finish -and really disagree --its fine.

Cheap price = Cheap car - 2004 Ford Mustang
By Speed Racer.. Not ! - November 15 - 2:00 amIts definately not a sports car, it reminds me of my parents Ford Tempo, if you want a bigger old technology motor, but a good price - this car ios for you. The Mustang is not refined, not very good in the corners comparatively speaking, underwelming looks and cheap material for the interiors. I will not keep this one very long. You do get a cheap car for a cheap price.

Dixies review - 2004 Ford Mustang
By deal - November 13 - 8:20 pmThis was the first new car that I ever bought. In the nearly 4 years that I have owned Dixie (My wife named the car), I have not had one single problem. Well worth the wait to purchase a new mustang. Dixie is now and will always be a part of the family. I love my Mustang!

Just step on it. - 2004 Ford Mustang
By Entropym - September 22 - 10:00 amI opted for the 270hp 4.6 L V-8, manual transmission and premium sound. Put on the shades, drop the top, crank up the tunes, turn OFF the traction control, put it in first and step on it. Need I say more? Im approaching 36000 miles and the car has never seen the shop.
