Overview & Reviews
With an all-new model scheduled for '05, there are few changes for the 2004 Ford Mustang. All models wear commemorative 40th anniversary exterior badging, while V6 and GT models can be ordered with a full 40th anniversary package that includes additional exterior and interior enhancements.
- Available V8 power, variety of trim levels, healthy dose of American attitude.
- Archaic underpinnings, cheap interior materials, choppy ride.

Got to love the HP - 2004 Ford Mustang
By 2004sccobra - October 10 - 8:59 pmI have enjoyed this vehicle. I usually drive it on nice days (trying to keep the miles low and in good shape) I have had a few problems with maintenace issues but other than that it has been a blast to drive. The Ford dealer where I take it has been very understanding. I blew up the tranny on the track and they still did the warranty work. Other than what they call "tip in clunk" I would not change a thing.

My Little Pony - 2004 Ford Mustang
By Punkin - October 5 - 2:29 pmI got this car last year with only 23,000 miles on it. I love this car. Its a 40th anniversary edition. I love it. I only travel from work to home and thats about a 5 minute drive for me. It runs well. Never had a problem. Its just a beautiful car. I like this car better than the newer models.

One from someone who actually has it. - 2004 Ford Mustang
By Ryan Barber - August 29 - 10:00 amThese cars are great. In the past, Camaro and Firebird have litterally embarassed Mustang. But now, in 2003, Ford made a comeback, even though their Mustang found itself without any competition. I will petty any Camaro SS driver or "Firechicken" driver when they mistake this car for one of the previous models. Then, now in 2004, the Mustang finds itself head to head with an old rival, the legendary Pontiac GTO. The Cobra still wins of course... but what will happen when Dodge comes out with the Charger... yes, they are comming out with their dead Charger once again... who will win, I guess well just have to wait and see.

03 Cobra Coupe - 2004 Ford Mustang
By BRIAN - July 27 - 7:08 pmIt is very responsive, great drift car, loves 3.73 gear swap, just needs sticky tires. Torque is always available. Tight suspension doesnt lean on turns

Its a keeper - 2004 Ford Mustang
By Paul K. - July 22 - 1:59 pmI was attracted to this car by its sharp looks and great performance, and after four years, I still love it. It may not be the fastest car on the road, but its the biggest bang for the buck, and will surely blow off most of the boy racers. The horsepower and torque figures are claimed to be 305 and 320 respectively, but the dyno has shown substantially higher numbers. This is my fourth Mustang, the last one being a 98 Cobra, very similar to this, but I like the Mach better. Gas mileage is really very good for a performance car at 23 - 28 mpg. If you can find a clean example at a decent price, go for it. Ill be keeping mine for a long while. Its sure to be a collector.

One last convertable fling - 2004 Ford Mustang
By wallynm - July 17 - 10:00 amAt age 62 I told my wife I wanted one last convertable fling and the Mustang was my choice. The handling is taut and predictable. Its not a hot rod with the 3.8 L but I think it will beat our 2000 Linclon LS with a V-6 and a manual transmission off the line. It sticks to the road well and has little to no body roll. So far we have gotten as little as 26 mpg and as much as 30 mpg.

How do you spell fun to drive - 2004 Ford Mustang
By heather - July 13 - 8:38 pmI have owned classic hot rods from the 60s, this is as much fun to drive with the comforts of new options. This is my second Mustang GT convertible, love it!
