This Year's Model Updates:

With an all-new model scheduled for '05, there are few changes for the 2004 Ford Mustang. All models wear commemorative 40th anniversary exterior badging, while V6 and GT models can be ordered with a full 40th anniversary package that includes additional exterior and interior enhancements.

Pros:
  • Available V8 power, variety of trim levels, healthy dose of American attitude.
Cons:
  • Archaic underpinnings, cheap interior materials, choppy ride.

The Mustang is an excellent car for the price. It gets good fuel economy, but has plenty of power for enjoyment.

Mine is a mistic Chrome and I cant say enough about it. People stop me everywhere to talk about it. Vetts Camaros Birds all suck air when it comes to power. With a few minor adjustments this thing flys. This is by best far the nicest car that I have ever owned..... Keep up the good work SVT team.....

The mustange appeals to people of all ages. There is nothing like feeling the wind in your face as your traveling along .....with the top down I love the way the mustang handles and the turn ratio is great.Everything is at my finger tips and I love the trunk button. With the rise in gas prices Im happy its better on fuel than my suv......I drive in Florida during the winter months so I have no idea how it is in snow. The weakness is the small back seat ......but its perfect for shopping bags...... hubby bought it for my 55th birthday.....In that car nobody would ever guess my age

Before getting the Mach1, I despised Fords and believed I would never buy one. The Mach1 was too good looking and fast to pass up. Its 40th anniversary emblems with its hood scoop and awesome rims turned heads. Its performance is great as well, but you pay for it in terms of gas mileage. Since owning the Mach1, I have not had anything go wrong. At worst, the interior dashboard and fixtures are cheap and quality but not something that cannot be replaced. Tires are costly but that is one of the costs anticipated when purchasing a high performance car. This is one vehicle

  • Best Car - 2004 Ford Mustang

I have had my car for about a year now and I love it. I have not had a single problem with it. I even drove it through the winter and I manage well. Driving slow and having a good pair of snow tires really makes a difference. Overall the car is amazing and I love it.

  • Flashy, but cheap ! - 2004 Ford Mustang

Its flashy, & affordable, but lower quality than most. The technology should improve with the new 2005. I feel the car is underpowered & wish I would have waited & bought a Cobra. I am regularly beat by import cars 0-60 with even 6 cyl motors ??? BMWs etc..

  • MY MUSTANG DREAMCAR - 2004 Ford Mustang
    By -

I waited years to purchase my dreamcar a 2004 Mustang coupe, although I would have like to purchase the GT model, the base model has enough power, fun to drive, and looks great in the city or on the road. Great gas mileage on the highway, the city mileage is fair, but with a powerful V6 you must make sacrifices.

  • What do you expect - 2004 Ford Mustang

I picked this car up used for a little over $20k. Ive put 14,000 miles on it and loved every minute of it. This car puts a smile on my face every time I sit behind the wheel. It gets horrible gas mileage and thats O.K. After all, it is a 400 hp sports car. The accomodations are a little tight for a big guy like myself (64" and 280 lbs.) but thats ok too. Its worth being able to drive a car in this price range that will kick anything in its path that is standard factory issue. After all, isnt that why we drive these cars? This is definitely the best alternative for those of us who cant afford $30-$35k for a Corvette or M3. You really cant go wrong with this car!
