This Year's Model Updates:

With an all-new model scheduled for '05, there are few changes for the 2004 Ford Mustang. All models wear commemorative 40th anniversary exterior badging, while V6 and GT models can be ordered with a full 40th anniversary package that includes additional exterior and interior enhancements.

Pros:
  • Available V8 power, variety of trim levels, healthy dose of American attitude.
Cons:
  • Archaic underpinnings, cheap interior materials, choppy ride.

Overall, an excellent car. I am very happy with my Mustang. I love the MACH 460 Audio System! I have put in 2 40 series Flowmasters, and believe me, it would scare anyone that you come across with at the stop light!

The 2004 Anniversary Convertible is the way to go to celebrate your mid life crisis. The styling is sleek and the sonic blue is a classly color with twin 10" silver bumper to bumper stripes. The V-6 has more than enough power and the automatic shifts extremely smooth. The convertible top is quiet at highway speeds and is so simple to raise and lower. The bucket seats are firm and there is enough leg room and head room. Forget about the back seats being comfortable, they are there for looks only, not for carrying passengers. But, heck, the Stang is for having fun for two. The interior is well designed and controls are easy to reach and use. The fit and finsh is better than some more expense car

To start with Cobra is not a Mustang. My neighbors 2002 Corvette learned that lesson on the open highway. I wish I would have had this car in my early 20s and single..come to think of it, I probably dont. A thrill everytime you turn the key, add my roll bar and Saleen cover and this one turns every head I pass. Good ride considering the type of car, great and fun to drive, Too much low end torque...it just bounces when you get on it. Have had a minor problem with gas guage not moving much until a half a tank, then disappearing in 50 miles. Dollar for dollar, I do not think anything touches it.

This is an amazing muscle machine. I have an 03 vette z06 but it doesnt really come close to the sound that my cobra makes. I can do a huge burn out in my cobra my vette cant, i feel its the best car you can but for around 33500, its an amazing vehicle

I am happy with my purchase overall, The 260 Horsepower is a bit over- rated, I was dusted by a BMW330 6 cyl ! supposedly only 225 HP ??. I would like to see Ford go back to the 5.0.

My car is a tropic green metallic mustang Gt. It is one awesome car. The car is fast when you want it to be, but it also gets good fuel economy on the highway when you are just crusing in fifth gear (overdrive).

This vehicle is a great value and takes me back to when I was a kid. Ive always admired the Mach 1s from my youth and this one delivers on par with the original. Superior car on the road and always gets attention. My wife digs it too!

Ive had this car for 2 years and its amazing. Its everything youd expect from 6 cylinders and a little more. And it turns heads everywhere I go!

  • Not What I Thought! - 2004 Ford Mustang

I recently purchased a Mach 1. I have owned 3 other Mustangs in the past. I think the new style of the Mach 1 is outstanding. Theres more power then the standard GT. But it is after all a Ford. Ford doesnt have the best reputation. I bought my Mach 1 brand new. It now has 12,000 miles on it. At 10,000 miles the Transmission went out. I took it to the dealer who had to replace the transmission. So i think the Mach 1 is very nice but like i said, Its still a ford...
