  • Terrific car - 2010 Ford Fusion

My wife and I are extremely pleased with our Fusion SE. Whatever shortcomings the previous model had Ford has addressed them. Compared to a couple other competing sedans we were immediately impressed by the style of the interior, the tastefulness of design and quality of materials. The exterior is sporty and the honeycomb taillights are neatly shaped. The adjustable lumbar support is really nice and the six-speed automatic is very smooth. The ride is quiet and the suspension has just the right amount of compliance. This is a quality car-do check it out.

This is the worst new car Ive ever bought. After only 1000 miles, I have more defects than other cars having >100K miles. I am appalled this car ever made it off the line. Trunk leaks, bad window regulator, dash and door rattles, failed side sensors, loose sun visor, all before the first trip to the dealer. Why buy this car?

  • I get too many compliments! - 2010 Ford Fusion

The only real complaint I have is that Im tired of giving that awkward "thank you" when people compliment my car. I got the Sterling Gray SEL with spoiler and 18" Al rims. I absolutely love driving this car. Sync and other features are awesome. Ride is amazingly smooth and quiet that it rivals most luxury sedans. Has a surprisingly powerful I4 engine as well.

Excellent midsize sedan. The "lesser" trims still pack tons of features, such as our new SE. The engine is more than capable, its not a sports car by any means, but the Mazda derived 6 speed manual lets you have a bit of fun. Sync works well, if a little confusing at first.

I recently decided to trade in my Mustang GT for something more practical and better able to handle Midwestern winters. I looked at the Subarus but they seemed chintzy and kinda ugly (have you seen the new Legacy?), and Hondas (no AWD except for their SUVs). The Fusions AWD is a rarity in this class and along with the big V-6 and iPod integration I couldnt find anything better out there. I have been extremely pleased with the Fusion so far and it has handled Chicago snow without any problem. I hope it continues to impress!

I recently traded in my 09 V-6 SE sport for a 2010 4 cylinder SEL. It is awesome. I am very very happy with the gas mileage. getting about 25 to 27 mpg in town, and the car isnt fully broken in. The car is not that much slower than the V-6, and the gas mileage is amazing. Plenty of power and better gas mileage, what more could you want? It is also a very comfortable car. I am very pleased with my buying decision.

  • Made >50% overseas, & watch your head. - 2010 Ford Fusion

This is a flawed car for Americans: 1) More than 50% of the car is made or assembled in Mexico (the engines), and Japan (the transmisions). After adjusting the front power seat for myself, Im 58", I noticed there is no seat memory as in my wife and myself: this is not a big deal as it uses the cars main computer and would only involve one switch and about 4 of wire. The last nasty surprise is, after setting the seat for myself, I did something I always do at this point: I got in the back seat, and I smacked my head twice (I ducked after the 2nd time, and still hit my head). This isnt exactly rocket science, I dont know how Ford, a company I like, let this one out like this.

  • Absolutely Love It - 2010 Ford Fusion

Absolutely love my I-4 6 speed manual 2010 Fusion S. I only have about 800 miles on it and I average 33 mpg in mixed driving conditions. For a 4 cyl it is snappy and a lot of fun. I really like the external body style changes they made to the front end in 2010. I believe for 2010 they also went from a 2.3 liter 4 cyl to a 2.5 liter. Mine is the basic S model but it still has everything I need and doesnt lack in style or design. I would highly recommend this car to anyone and I recommend test driving a 4 cyl and a 6 cyl. Prior to this purchase I was adamant about a 6 cyl but test driving the manual 4 cyl changed my mind. I also test drove a Camry and several Malibus both 4 and 6 cyl.

Smooth, quiet, comfortable, and fun to drive. Has many features that are not available in similar priced Accords or Camrys. Sync is great.

  • This thing is a FORD?! - 2010 Ford Fusion

My review title was the first thing that entered my head upon test driving my future Fusion S. Very well composed ride, handling characteristics, soft touch interior materials, and overall a feeling of a great vehicle. 6 speed auto started shifting a bit rough but now that I have some mileage on it and its gotten used to my driving patterns, its silky-smooth. Huge trunk for a mid-size. Alloy wheels standard on basic model. Returned 32 MPG on first tank of gas. First car Ive owned that didnt need to return to the selling dealership to fix something after the sale.
