Pros:

Cons:
  • Feels sluggish even with larger V8, no available side airbags, not much interior storage space.

  • Best truck ever - 2005 Ford F-150

I never thought someone would build a truck that rides as well as most cars while not giving up the "toughness" a truck needs. My new F-150 Lariat is not only a great looking vehicle; it gives you the best of both worlds with truck tough reliability and comfort that is as good or better than most cars!

Ive owned a lot of trucks over the years and this is by far the best all around truck Ive ever owned. The interior is top notch quality that rivals my wifes luxury SUV (I wont mention what brand, but its a direct competitor). The 5.4 Triton offers the power I need, yet still gets very respectable gas mileage. Trucks Ive owned in the past have always been weekend warriors, but this truck is my everyday driver, just because its so much fun to drive. Its handling characteristics are very well mannered for a truck. This is my second Ford in 7 years and I havent had any problems in 7 years. I will probably be a Ford owner for a long time to come.

The truck SEEMS big when cornering or parking. I think the 21 inch wheels make it unnecessarily high off the ground. I had to replace a tire and found most manufacturers dont make the standard tire size (not Goodyear, not Bridgestone, not Goodrich--only Michelin and Cooper).

I love almost everything about the truck. The only thing I wish for is better fuel mileage. The truck ride great. I use it for hunting, the off road features is the best I have ever used. I think Ford has the best looking truck there is. Power is pretty good. I use it to pull a trailer and it can do it no problem. This truck rocks

  • Great Truck -- My first Ford Product - 2005 Ford F-150

Ford has finally built the best truck on the market, period. This truck was built for people who drive trucks. The details in the design are great. It rides like a car, drives like my luxury car, and is made like a tank. The only competitor was the Tundra, but it doesnt come close to the quality of this vehicle. The Super Crew has tons of room with the 4 doors. The Triton/5.4L is horse. The LineX bedliner is a must. Great add-on. Ill check back in 10 years when Ive put 200,000 miles on it. Awesome job, Ford.

  • Excellent Truck - 2005 Ford F-150

Very nice truck, well designed. New front end. Like the design from the side view. Very roomy inside, enough for six people. Nice ride. Handles the road real well. I have full power seats, windows locks, power mirrors, and even a power rear sliding window, signals in the mirrors, 4.6 motor. Gas mileage could be a little better, I guess, for this size truck. 13 mpg. city and about 17.5 mpg on highway.

I wanted an upgrade from the 1995 basic F150 I traded in. I feel good riding in it, looking at it, washing it and getting numerous complements. I plan on keeping this one longer then the previous truck.

I bought this truck on one of those love at first sight programs. It has been a great truck and runs and drives excellent. I got the 7 year extended warranty just in case. I still have five years left. I received a notice for a 10 year extended warranty on the fuel injectors but have had no problems at all. I have limited slip and it pulls my boats with ease. It is a powerful engine, (5.4) and feels like the muscle cars of old. I also have and use the back up safety sensors constantly. Gas mileage is not too bad 18-25 on average. I have two six bangers that cant get near what I get with that big V8. The suicide doors on the super cab are great and it looks so good rather then a four door.

I purchased this vehicle new 6 months ago and it has been in the shop 6 times so far. The dealer says they cannot fix the vibration in the rear end after 4 attempts. There have been several different problems. Some parts were not even installed (a/c hose - water was going in floorboard). I can not even get a loaner vehicle while it is being repaired but 2 times. It has currently been at the dealership about 36 days and counting. Im waiting on a buy-back or replacement. I also have a claim with the BBB AutoLine.

Although we havent owned our truck very long, were sure it will more than serve our needs and satisfy us with all Ford has to offer.
