no cash - 2001 Toyota Sequoia
By wasted money - November 30 - 2:50 pmThis was a great vehicle when purchased. We average about 11000 miles per year. At the end of last summer the air conditioner went out at the tune of $2500! No recall just a service bulletin. Yeh ok - No help either from the dealership. Now the suspension is wearing out at the tune of $500- after 52,000 miles. This is a daily driver truck driven by my wife. Buyer beware. For a $45000 plus vehicle when new and make sure you figure in your maintenance costs. Or make sure you buy that extended warranty (that I usually dont believe in) I thought Toyota meant quality.

I love everything about this vehicle - 2001 Toyota Sequoia
By Glad I found it - November 13 - 6:53 amThis vehicle has never let me down in any way. I have had it for 7 years (I never keep a vehicle that long!!) and there have been zero problems. I have driven many vehicles and owned all brands in 40 years of driving - this one is without a doubt, the best!! I am waiting for the day that the 2008 hits the dealerships.

One year with the Sequoia - 2001 Toyota Sequoia
By krisko - October 9 - 10:00 amIf you are considering a full sized SUV, the Sequoia must be a serious contender. It features gobs of room, numerous safety features, plenty of luxo goodies yet is relatively fun and easy to drive for such a big vehicle. While a tad pricey compared to the competition, I think in the long run it will be cheaper when repairs and depreciation are considered. I paid $38,700 for mine with everything but sunroof and 4wd. I could have bought the same Expedition or Durango for almost $10,000 less but I know Id have problems down the road. Bottom line? Peace of mind is worth money to me.

Sure Beats a Station Wagon or Minivan! - 2001 Toyota Sequoia
By mama2kool - October 3 - 6:33 pmI have had this truck for almost 18 months of hard driving. I tow, and haul 6 kids and all of their assorted accessories(read:piles and piles of junk). In the past my only choice for 8 passenger seating was American vans, and what a difference this is. This truck drives like a car. It handles beautifully, especially in rotten weather. Plus, besides being perfectly functional, it is totally hot looking too. I will never drive another ponderous American truck. It is worth every penny.

What happened to Toyota reliability? - 2001 Toyota Sequoia
By Christopher Reynolds - June 11 - 10:00 amThis is the worst @#%#@$ SUV I have ever bought! I love Toyotas and currently own a Lexus LS400 but this truck has cause me nothing but grief. Lets see ... 10K transmission slips, knocking in engine like a gremlin with a ball peen hammer! Air conditioning works when it wants to. premature brake wear on the front rotors (Toyota mechanic confirmed this)

I love my Sequoia, but...... - 2001 Toyota Sequoia
By Noelle - April 25 - 2:50 amIts been a great car. Probably should have gotten the leather seats for a little more comfort. We live on a hill so we have to replace the brakes about every 10,000 miles. Also, the rubber paint around ALL my windows is peeling off. I brought it to the dealer but they said I was out of warranty. I was a little shocked at that. It wasnt a cheap car. So now my wonderful car has peeling paint around ALL the windows, exposing chrome. But overall, its been a wonderful car. Id take it anywhere assuredly. Other than that, the functionality has been really great. Dependable. Wished it looked as great as I feel about it.

Overall, we love our Sequoia! - 2001 Toyota Sequoia
By Taylor - April 6 - 8:26 pmIn 2 years of ownership, we have had no major problems. It carries our family of 5 plus a ton of luggage w/o breaking a sweat. We love the huge moonroof, the 6 CD in-dash changer, the power of the 4.7 L V-8. We have taken it down dusty desert trails to visit ghost towns and up mountain paths w/o so much as a hiccup. There are a few gripes, however - the tail gate refused to open not long after we bought it and we could hear broken parts rattling around inside. The transmission sometimes clunks when were at a stoplight and it feels like weve been bumped from behind. Both rear passenger doors refuse to stay open on even the slightest incline, and the rear cubby hatch cover pops open.

The One!!!! - 2001 Toyota Sequoia
By Big Guy - December 7 - 2:00 amI have tried every truck and this is the one!!! I have it over a year now and I enjoy it more and more! I bought this truck because I wanted to protect my family better. It is one of the safest vehicles on the road. I bought it for my wife mainly to drive the baby around. I have driven all of the other trucks and they do not compare.

Its Been Great! - 2001 Toyota Sequoia
By Bamagirl - November 3 - 10:00 amI have had my Sequoia for over a year and so far its been a great vehicle. We had a Ford Expedition before and we liked it, but we love our Sequoia! You cant compare the comfort & smooth ride that the Sequoia gives. It has a great look to it as well.

I Love This Ride! - 2001 Toyota Sequoia
By AllenEli - November 3 - 10:00 amWe just bought this Sequoia after looking at them for over 6 months. Its hard to find them, they are very popular and they really hold their value. We couldve gotten a 2001 Ford Expedition for about $8,000 less, but the Sequoia is superior in every way and you cant hear the depreciation fly out the window like its competition.
