Overview & Reviews
For 2006, the Saturn Vue gets a revised interior with a new center stack, center console, door panels and seat fabric. Outside, the front and rear fascias have been redesigned. Steering wheel-mounted audio controls are now standard, along with OnStar, power windows and power locks. The optional CD/MP3 audio system now includes an auxiliary jack for portable audio devices. The Red Line gets standard ebony leather seats with suede inserts, a power driver seat, unique instrumentation and ambient footwell lighting in both warm amber and cool blue.
- Strong V6, roomy cabin, comfortable ride, excellent crash test scores, good fuel economy.
- Below-average build quality, some low-grade interior plastics, undersized front seats, vague steering.

About the car - 2006 Saturn VUE
By Jake - December 25 - 9:26 pmIt is probably the best car I’ve had so far. I just hit 280,000 miles on it today and it is still going as good as it did 5 years ago. Probably one of the best cars I’ve had ever and I got it when it came out and I’ve only had to replace the starter and alternator on it 2 years ago at different times.

I will never go back to a car again - 2006 Saturn VUE
By jen - November 6 - 7:43 pmBack in July I was looking for a new car. But instead I went with an SUV. I have never experienced the service that I received from this Saturn dealership. Very professional and kind. No pressure what so ever. I love the SUV. I love the style and comfort. I love the gas mileage. I get almost 300 mile for a full tank of gas.

Best mini SUV period - 2006 Saturn VUE
By missy - October 30 - 3:46 amI originally test drove cars then started with the small SUV. I drove Ford Escape, Chevy Equinox and Jeep Liberty. As soon as I drove the VUE I looked no further. The ride was the smoothest, I loved the interior and it will pass a car without any problem ( I have the v6). Love the built in cargo carrier on back as well as the radio controls on steering wheel. This SUV is 10 out of 10!

Engine with major pep - 2006 Saturn VUE
By The Singer - October 20 - 4:00 pmEven though my wife and I love to drive the new 2006 V-6 with its 250 hp Honda engine, we have found that the comfort of the interior truly lacks creative design. I am 63 and i find nowhere to put my legs for real comfort on those long road trips. The floor is not flat but curves up so the foot cant rest in a normal plane. But overall, it is a great riding car.

Many issues *Thank God for Warranty* - 2006 Saturn VUE
By Loader73 - September 28 - 5:30 amWell in the first couple of months the computer module went bad and I lost all power in the vehicle - Warranty $100.00. Then there was an awful squeak in the front end - Warranty $100.00. Then the front left wheel bearing went - Warranty $100.00. Then the computer went again and this time nothing in the truck would shut off and it sat on the tow truck and at Saturn until the battery went - Warranty $400.00 fought and got 100.00 back (battery cost over 100.00?) Then the rear right wheel bearing went - $100.00. And now the Front Rotors are bad and I am doing them myself... Service dept doesnt even ask if its warrantied until they come and ask you to sign for the total amount for repairs?

Terrible Road Noise - 2006 Saturn VUE
By Mary - September 23 - 11:50 amI bought my 2006 Vue new and have no complaints except for the road noise. I thought it was the tires so I changed and got new ones but it still is so loud. It sounds like a 4 wheel drive truck. It is a really loud humming noise and it about drives me crazy. I love everything else about the car except this noise. Excellent gas mileage, plenty of room. The seats could be a little more comfortable but not bad. The power it has is unbelieveable and when washed and cleaned up it looks brand new. If only I could cure the noise, I really dont think I could stand to go on a very long trip in it.

Big hybrid - 2006 Saturn VUE
By Tom Roberts - September 14 - 10:03 pmIt does not get what I had expected in gas mileage, I really only get about 15 miles to the gallon. I could have done better with a smaller engine or a smaller car. Its a nice car to drive and very comfotable. I think they are misleading in gas mileage numbers and real commuter driving. All the repairs parts cost a small fortune also as well as the initial cost is more.

Wind noise - 2006 Saturn VUE
By Smith - August 27 - 3:06 pmThe only complaint I have about my VUE is the wind noise, lots of wind noise. Also in bad weather when you open back doors there is mud rain snow rock salt that has came in under the door. Seems to me they should of sealed around doors more and also windows. The seal is a hard plastic not like rubberized on most cars. Also the window controls are in an odd place, hard to get use to. Other than that I love the drive and ride of it.

Outstanding Surprise - 2006 Saturn VUE
By dstick1 - August 11 - 1:33 pmI am profoundly pleased and surprised at how wonderful this vehicle is to drive and own. This is definitely worth a look and drive if you want a great SUV.

Thoughtfully Designed Interior - 2006 Saturn VUE
By Jenny H. - June 26 - 7:43 pmThis is the most thoughtfully designed car Ive ever driven. Every nook & cranny makes sense to me, such as door pockets that hold a magazine or letter- size file folder, & console pockets that are perfect for a couple of CDs. A 9V outlet hidden deep inside the center stack lets you plug in your cell phone, then the phone cord snakes up through a hole in the bottom of the removable cup holder. Best of all for me this winter are the optional heated seats and fast compartment heater, making my frigid a.m. drive to work a joy. My VUEs ladylike 4-cyl engine is responsive enough, is not a gas hog & is fun to drive!
