For 2006, the Saturn Vue gets a revised interior with a new center stack, center console, door panels and seat fabric. Outside, the front and rear fascias have been redesigned. Steering wheel-mounted audio controls are now standard, along with OnStar, power windows and power locks. The optional CD/MP3 audio system now includes an auxiliary jack for portable audio devices. The Red Line gets standard ebony leather seats with suede inserts, a power driver seat, unique instrumentation and ambient footwell lighting in both warm amber and cool blue.

Cons:
  • Below-average build quality, some low-grade interior plastics, undersized front seats, vague steering.

  • Great Car! - 2006 Saturn VUE

I have owned my VUE for about 3 months now. Its my first Saturn and I am so happy with it! GM gets an A+ for this one! I get so many people looking at it and commenting about how nice it is. I love the chrome package on the front and rear of the car.

I really do like my VUE, it has lots of power, the ride is okay, could be a little smoother, road noise is a little loud. Body style is very pretty. Gas mileage is great. Ive had mine for about 16 months and no problems at all. Very reliable. I will definitely look at another one when Im ready for a new one. I love the new body style. I looked at an Outlook only yesterday and feel that the Vue fits me better. I just really dont need that much car.

  • Great Updates for 2006 - 2006 Saturn VUE

Great vehicle especially after the updates for 2006. If you drive the 4 cylinder automatic near the speed limit you will get over 30mpg highway. After more than 10K miles no problems and gas mileage is great. It does have pep for a 4 cylinder though it will degrade gas mileage quickly if you race it around. I use an iPod with the aux input. Just buy a 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack from RadioShack. OnStar diagnostics are emailed. OnStar is great and safe. Green Line hybrid version should be interesting when it comes out later this year.

  • Sleeper SUV - 2006 Saturn VUE

I drove everything SUV. The Saturn was the last place I went to and I fell in love with this vehicle. It screams, handles great, and is quiet at 70mph and itll get there quickly. And all for 10k less than anything else! The interior is very nice, doesnt feel cheap. I love the mix leather and cloth seats. The stereo rocks with XM. OnStar was a huge plus. And there is more than enough room for me to carry everything I need for work, and thats a lot. Its engine is made by Honda. I just cant find anything wrong with this SUV. Quiet, comfortable, open, with alot of git up and go.

  • Love my VUE! - 2006 Saturn VUE

I absolutely love my VUE (V6, FWD)! I had a minivan prior to my VUE & I was afraid Id miss the cargo space & sliding doors, but I dont. I gained much better gas mileage from my van & the VUE is fun to drive. I average 21- 24 mpg, but on long road trips I average 26-28 mpg. I am thrilled to have something that has decent gas mileage, but still has plenty of room inside for my husband, myself & our 2 kids, who are both in car seats. The doors have large openings which makes it easy to get the kids in & out. The only thing I noticed is some wind noise due to the body design around the front windshield, but after driving it a few months I dont even notice it except for really windy days.

  • Its my VUE - 2006 Saturn VUE

1st time Saturn purchaser went from a Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Ed. to a VUE FWD 6 and I Love, Love, Love it. Gas mileage is great Its fun and comfortable to drive I have put 2300 miles on it since the end of August. The interior is really nice and I feel that I can actually pack more into this vehicle than I could the ford. The wind noise is a little loud at times and the passenger seat isnt as comfortable as the drivers but its definetly better that my old SUV. I have the comfort package and love the dual temp heated seat(usually only have 1 temp in other vehicles) This is a fun vehicle and I can plug my IPOD right into the dash which I havent seen on any other vehicle(even high end)

  • Its been a good car to me... - 2006 Saturn VUE
    By -

Ive loved having this car over the past 5 years. Its been reliable and has held up in looks and performance. Ive been extremely pleased with the aesthetics of both the interior and the exterior. I could never be happy with a car that lacked in either of them. The size has also been great. But now I have 2 large dogs and a child and sadly, there is not enough space when we go camping, etc. But Ive really loved this car even with its imperfections, i.e. the noises and the steering wheel stereo controls that change function from day to day. This will make a great used car when its time for me to sell.

  • good so far - 2006 Saturn VUE

I bought this car new a year ago. Its the 2.2 engine. Leather seats and sunroof. So far this has been a great car. I have 22,000 miles on it. I know others think that it is load inside, I actually dont. The car handles well and gets good gas mileage. I think that 06 Saturn was the best small SUV on the market at the time. The 06 had a make over both inside and out. I think it looks much better than the earlier models. I drove them all and settled on the Saturn. I really enjoy it

  • uncomfortable - 2006 Saturn VUE
    By -

The drivers cockit is tight and the seats are extremely uncomfortable. The gas milage is far less than advertised. The car pulls hard to the right on fast acceleration due to front wheel drive system not being able to manage horsepower of the Honda engine.

  • It"s Great - 2006 Saturn VUE

It is a great SUV and fun to drive. The 06 Saturn is one of the best looking SUVs the the road today.
