Overview & Reviews
A new 3.5-liter V6 replaces the previous 3.0-liter unit. Larger 17-inch wheels and tires are now standard on the V6 AWD model and optional on the front-wheel-drive version. Antilock brakes are standard on all V6 models. The interior has been upgraded to reduce noise and now incorporates metallic and leather trim. The front seats now have seatbelt pre-tensioners and dual-stage front airbags. New entertainment choices include MP3-compatible CD players, satellite radio and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system (late availability).
- Strong V6, large doors ease entry/exit, spacious cabin, comfortable ride, excellent crash test scores, good fuel economy.
- Bland interior, low-grade plastics, inconsistent build quality, noisy four-cylinder, vague steering.

MY SILVER SURFER - 2004 Saturn VUE
By GINA - December 24 - 10:00 amMY OVERALL REVIEW OF MY SATURN VUE, IS AN HONEST ONE. THIS IS A VEHICLE FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS THE COMFORT OF A SEDAN AND THE CARGO SPACE FOR MOVING MEDIUM SIZED FURNITURE, GROCERIES AND LUGGAGE. I LOVE MY VUE...IT IS COOL, FUN AND NOT SOME HUGE VEHICLE THAT I NEED A LADDER TO GET INTO. I AM GLAD THAT I DID SOME COMPARISON SHOPPING!!!

So FAr So Good - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Leppod - November 22 - 2:00 amI love the new 2004 Vue. The looks are stylish, interior is very roomy. Agreed that the interior is a little bland but I love simple design. Options are easy to use and not complicated. Performance is very good, 250hp gets you were you have to go quick. The interior noise is very little, bumps in road are hardley noticeable. Gas millage is right under 20mpg average mostly city driving.

Fun and Reliable - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Saturnbug - November 22 - 2:00 amThis car has been great. People say my car needs a saddle because of the way I drive. This car has been a dream to drive. It handles very well & pick up is fantastic. I am short and its 8" ground clearance suits me just fine. My husband is quite tall & doesnt need to climb out of it. The interior is really comfortable & well appointed. The added cargo carrier in the back makes carting groceries easy. The exterior design is attractive. The 17" aluminum alloy wheels give it a real sporty feel. The sales people at the dealership were excellent. They walk you through every aspect of the purchase. I will continue to purchase from Saturn.

Midsize Vue - 2004 Saturn VUE
By BJATCN - November 22 - 2:00 amI just purchased a 2004 Saturn Vue. My first time as a Saturn owner, and I have to say that the performance and the overall style of the vehicle are great. I had a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer and I like that car with only 20,000 miles. But I trade my cars in every two years. I would greatly recommend anyone to buying a Saturn Vue. I like having a midsize SUV.

2004 Vue - Transmission Problem??? - 2004 Saturn VUE
By nocal826 - November 16 - 2:00 amWe purchased a 6 cyl FWD04 Vue from Saturn of Sunrise. If the Vue performs like the sales reps, then we hit a grandslam,we LOVE the Vue with one exception...the 5-sp auto trans hesitates when it is about to change gears,it seems as if it is not sure what gear it wants to be in.Weve brought it back to service. They have test driven it/hooked it up to the computer. They say everything seems normal. However,it is starting to bother us.After driving the Vue for another week we called the dealer and asked if they would drive our Vue for a few days tofeelthe problem.Saturn has been eager to assist.Has anyone else had this type of problem?

VUEto economy - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Saturn Vue - October 8 - 2:56 pmI have the VUE AWS 3.5 which has the Honda motor and also the Honda Auto Transmission. I also pull a Jayco tent trailer and on oru last trip from California up to Montana and Idaho (mostly hills) I got an average of 20 miles per gallon pulling the trailer with it On normal commuting mostly stop and go I average around 21mpg The vehicle as plenty of power with 250 hp and accleration is very smooth as is the ride compared to mostt SUV vehicles. Handling is pretty good and stable, and the VUE is easy to get in and out of. Saturn really thought this one out and really did a good job with

Transmission issues - 2004 Saturn VUE
By horriblecar1 - October 2 - 11:44 pmI purchased this car 4 months ago used and now am experiencing issues with it. It was shaking back and fourth.... stop and go traffic was horrifying because I was afraid the rpms were going to drop and the car would shut off. Also the car had extremely poor pick up and when I would come to a stop the car would occasionally not go when I put my foot on the gas and then it would take off and sound like someone hit me from behind. Dont purchase this car better yet just get a bike...
