This Year's Model Updates:

For 2006, the Saturn Vue gets a revised interior with a new center stack, center console, door panels and seat fabric. Outside, the front and rear fascias have been redesigned. Steering wheel-mounted audio controls are now standard, along with OnStar, power windows and power locks. The optional CD/MP3 audio system now includes an auxiliary jack for portable audio devices. The Red Line gets standard ebony leather seats with suede inserts, a power driver seat, unique instrumentation and ambient footwell lighting in both warm amber and cool blue.

Pros:
  • Strong V6, roomy cabin, comfortable ride, excellent crash test scores, good fuel economy.
Cons:
  • Below-average build quality, some low-grade interior plastics, undersized front seats, vague steering.

I love my VUE. Plenty of room on the inside. Smooth ride and great power. Only downside is a lot of wind noise and outside noise

This is my 3rd Saturn and I think my last. Was disappointed that you get only a 16inch donut for a spare so if you are towing it and get a flat on the front you have to move the tire to the back and bring one of the rear tires to the front . Also to get a base plate for towing a piece has to be cut out of the bumper.

This is the second VUE that I have owned. I know Edmunds rates it a little above average for mileage. Comfort , looks, and service. I cant say enough about the service. Its 5 star. I took it on a trip to FL and averaged 27mpg. That 3.5 l v6 is great.

I just purchased my VUE and so far so good. I am nervous though since this is my second Saturn in a row that has squeeky seats and I hope that isnt a sign of things to come. Moderately quiet car, some wind noise but not too bad.

  • A whole new VUE of things - 2006 Saturn VUE

We were in the market for a small SUV but didnt really like many. We hadnt even considered the Saturn until we went on vacation and got one as a rental. We were impressed with the comfort, handling, mileage, plus easy access to all the controls. It was quick even though it was a 4 cyl. Well when we returned from vacation we became the new owners of a 6 cyl VUE ( wanted a little more umph ). We couldnt be more pleased. This is a nice vehicle that handles and rides like a car but the features of an SUV without all the expense. In our opinion a real winner!

  • Nicest SUV Ever! - 2006 Saturn VUE

Love my VUE. This is my 2nd Saturn. Very nice and refined. Better than the 2002-2005 they were more rugged. Now that they redesigned the 2006 Saturn VUE it is more refined. It kind of looks like an Acura MDX. But love it to death. Love the features especially the chrome roof rack, sunroof, the heated leather seats, real wood interior, on- star, the excellent 5-star safety rating, keyless-entry, and friendly company.

I used to own a 1999 Saturn SL2 and that car went to the depths of hell and back with me. I was in the market for a new car and Saturn had a 0% finance promotion running. I gave it a shot and fell in love with the VUE V6. It handles like a sports car and has the kick of one too. With 260 HP, you actually feel the power rather than waiting to catch up with it. Curtain side airbags make it safer than most SUVs. Highly recommended.

  • Fun to drive, fun to own - 2006 Saturn VUE

Naturally Im still in the honeymoon stage with my VUE, but I am quite pleased with the purchase. I was looking for a vechicle that would hold the family and still provide excellent gas milage for my daily commute. This VUE has both to offer with a generous cabin space and an efficient engine that puts out about 32 miles to the gallon (mind you I have a 5 speed manual transmission). The easy going, no haggle atomospere of the dealership was a welcome change from the high pressure "what do I need to do to sell you this car today" sales pitch of other dealerships.

  • VUE Road Noise / Buzzy on Acceleration - 2006 Saturn VUE
    By -

I must say I bought a VUE in May of this year and Im not real happy. I had a luggage rack put on after markert by the dealership and the car makes a terrible road noise. The noise is overpowering even when the radio is on. It is very disturbing. The car also makes a buzzing noise when you accelerated. I would not of bought this vechile if I would of known about the road noise. I do not think this is a very well insulated automoblie. Im actually thinking of trading it off. I recommend before buying a car you drive it for a day or so before you sign the papers. Do drive with the radio off.

  • Save Yourself the Hassle - 2006 Saturn VUE

I have owned my Vue for approx two years, and in just the last month, I have had it in the shop four times! They dont know what the problem is so now they just keep telling me they cant duplicate the problem--what a load of bull! I would caution you against purchasing one. Theyre nice to look at, but if you plan on taking a trip in one, you can plan on hearing lots of noise from your vehicle, as well as, all the others on the road, and you may want to make alternate plans in case your Vue breaks down-- you also may want to add an extra day or two into your trip b/c Ive waited on tow trucks for hours! You will get decent gas mileage--that is if you can get it to go anywhere!
