Overview & Reviews
Wow, what a beauty. The redesigned Maxima bows with an aerodynamic shape and a lengthened wheelbase. The new Maxima is available as a budget-minded GXE, sporty SE or luxurious GLE. All Maximas get the 190-horsepower engine previously exclusive to the SE.

The Max - 1995 Nissan Maxima
By R Keister - May 8 - 6:10 pmAt 150,000 miles, and practically NO mechanical problems, this car is AMAZING! The engine runs like its new. Of course, my penchant for religious maintenance might have something to do with that. Its comfortable, quiet, powerful and all-in-all pleasant to drive. Fuel economy is really good considering the vintage and engine size (3.0L V6) - 21 in town and as high as 28 on trips.

Nissan Maxima GLE 1995 - 1995 Nissan Maxima
By Ryan McBride - May 4 - 10:00 amI bought this car used with 118000 miles on it. The first thing to go was regulator on the back window. Since, the only major repair that was done was the replacing of a starter. One pain was the cup holder position, which makes it easy to spill coffee or soda into the console resulting in the replacement of an oxygen sensor--a $26 value, but with dealer installation can add up to $170+ easily. It now has over 200000 miles and still drives like a dream.

Best car Ive owned - 1995 Nissan Maxima
By Quagmire - April 11 - 5:16 pmIve owned this car 8 years, bought it with 55k. Its now at 226k and still running strong. The car has been driven for years in Maine to Indiana, Oregon and now in Florida. Routine maintenance is always done myself, including replacing the starter once, brake pads of course and battery a few times. Never stranded once even when the started did go out its a manual and so easy to push start. Lots of long drives and Im 65" and never any back or leg problems. Only shop work done was new shocks and struts at 160k and a new clutch at about 120k, the old was still original. Im pleasantly surprised at how well the new clutch has maintained because I dont drive the car easy.

Best Car Ever Owned - 1995 Nissan Maxima
By doc - February 2 - 10:00 amWe bought our 95 Nissan Maxima GLE nine years ago and can not believe what a great car it has been. The interior leather is pristine as is the plastic. There are a few wear and tear dings to the exterior, but nothing too bad. Mechanically, the car has been absolutely PERFECT. Other than routine maintenance and losing the antennae in a car wash, it has never had a single problem and still drives as well as it did when it was new. Great acceleration - the 3.0L engine in a 3000 lb frame gives it more than enough acceleration.

love it - 1995 Nissan Maxima
By fish - January 8 - 10:00 amI bought my Maxima at a repo auction for 3k below list. What a deal. The interior was super comfortable. The engine was magnificent. I could easily find myself at 90 mph with out knowing how I got there. The car looks like a classic but blends in nicely. Only problem is the number of stolen vehicles for parts.

116000 miles and still going!! - 1995 Nissan Maxima
By Momma to the Max - November 20 - 2:00 amFabulous car for the money and age. I bought my car new- its the black/green metallic with buff leather interior, moon roof, heated seats(nice) and ABS brakes & all other options which came with the car. Its been to Florida & back several times, Canada (opened her up to over 100mph on the Northway) and she cruised at 75-80 mph. You would never know how fast youre going until you look at the speedometer...I LOVE THIS CAR! Oxygen sensor after 110000 miles and brakes/tires only repairs made.NOT EVEN A TUNE UP. I changed filters and plugs..thats it! I dont want to give it up its just a fab car ...scale 1 - 10 its "10" !!!!
